First off, quarantine life is extremely boring, so I am going to start writing a quarantine journal. We have been quarantined in the house for about two weeks. My days mostly entail of waking up around 12 p.m., watching television shows, making cardboard crafts, creating cooking disasters, and smoking weed. They say this quarantine is going to last for months. I really don’t know what I am going to do during the upcoming months. All my classes being online make it hard to stay motivated and for the first time, I actually miss attending my classes, physically. I miss eating at restaurants, watching movies at the theatre, working out at the gym, seeing my boyfriend, and hanging out with my friends. Sounds like such first-world problems, I know, but I feel my mental health deteriorating. However, I’m not trying to go outside and risk catching the coronavirus, so I will keep social distancing and remaining at home.
       My sleep schedule has been down the dumps. I sleep around 2 a.m., and wake up around 12 p.m.. I’ve been trying to sleep earlier, so I don’t wake up with a headache. My accounting class starts at 11 a.m., but I haven’t been attending the Zoom lectures. I didn’t even leave my bed when I attended the first accounting lecture.
       Currently, I am watching the television show, The Resident. Other shows I’ve been watching these past two weeks include, Jessica Jones, The Defenders, Iron Fist, Rick and Morty, Atlanta, and the CWTV DC shows.
       I’ve been so bored, that I started making random cardboard crafts. I made a Slim Jim dispenser, which turned out to look like a piano. It doesn’t work that well, but it’s good enough. I tried to make a magic money trick toy, but it didn’t work. I made a money lock box, that actually turned out pretty good. However, I should’ve made the box into a rectangle shape rather than cubed so that the bill doesn’t curve. My latest completed project is a paper airsoft gun. It slightly works. When my materials are delivered, I am going to make a carboard guitar for my music technology class. I am very certain it will not play when I’m finished, but I don’t know the specifics schematic of why. Maybe because there’s not actual wood or maybe because the structure isn’t strong enough.
       My cooking skills have been disastrous, as in, I almost set the kitchen on fire. The first recipe I tried out was strawberry cheesecake French toast. It was terrible, I did not think about how the bread would be soggy, when I dumped the cheesecake mix and egg mix onto it. I ate about half and threw the rest away. I successfully made honey garlic chicken. It tasted pretty good but I should’ve made more sauce for the pasta. I made almond butter cheesecake. It would’ve tasted better if it wasn’t shaped like blob. This afternoon, I tried making churros and that was when I almost set the kitchen on fire. I threw water into the oil because I thought it would boil the oil faster. I was very wrong, it sent a giant flame towards the ceiling. So I will not be attempting to make churros in the future, but the churros I made today tasted decent. I want to try making more food, so later I will go through Facebook for inspiration.
       Obviously, I am high off my ass right now. I ate a piece of melted gummy edible and smoked my rove pen. I miss smoking joints or my Stiiizy pen because it gets me way higher. I might go out and buy more weed on Friday; a Stiiizy pod and maybe some edibles. It’s such a big fucking inconvenience that marijuana smells so dank, otherwise I would be able to smoke through my window. It has been about 10 minutes and I forgot I was writing this. Gotta love my high short term memory.
