My marching band has around 420 members and that’s just such a beautiful thing

Confession: I have had a threesome in the percussion trailer after our competition.

I'm a hardcore woodwind player and I've been flute section leader for four years. I'm planning on attending college and (obviously!) being in the marching band. But I also want to do drum corps. I could definitely work it around my college schedule if I got in, but getting in is the problem. The only corp in my area is a world-class Top 12 corp (The Blue Knights hollaaaa) so I've already started working out and learning trumpet. Do I have a chance of getting in maybe my second year of college?

Practice hard and you can do whatever you put your mind to.

So I have been in band for 5 years and I graduate this year... My band director decided to move on to a different school after being with this band for 8 years... We don't have a band director for this season but we are not giving up on our show we will run this by our selfs no one can take this away from us. We will play the best show ever and blow away the crowds... Who needs a band director when you have 40 wonderful, amazing people who will not let anything get in there way.

Props to you guys for having hope and pushing it through even without a director. I wish you all luck, man.

Friend: So what do you play again? Me: Oh, I play percussion! Friend: Percussion? Me: Oh, yeah, it's a wide variety of instruments! It's very interesting actually, there are over thousands over official percussion instruments, and- Friend: WHAAA??? *Doesn't get it at all* Me: *Facepalm* You know, THE DRUMS (you cry inside a little because you know that's not really true) Friend: OOOOOHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
