It’s very funny to me how cis people say they have mixed feelings about Jax being trans because they’re not trans and can’t relate to her anymore… What do you think it feels like for trans people?
I see a lot of trans people, myself included, relating to cis characters all the time. But by that logic, weren’t we supposed to?
Being trans is just one thing about her. There’s so much more to her than that. You just can’t relate to her anymore because there’s ONE thing you don’t share or understand?
There are so few trans characters. If you can’t relate to her anymore, that’s okay, but remember that there are people who finally feel like they have a character they can relate to in that way.
Her story and her tragic ending are a lesson especially for trans people. But anyone can learn from it: accept who you are. Let people in.
