one of the ideas I had about Huntrix and their weird strange creature habits/abilities is how they are about sound.

I mean, they are quite literally magical singers, so naturally their vocals have some inhuman qualities, which I’ve talked about before. However, another thought I’ve had along those lines was how Huntrix/Hunters use sound among themselves. Given how sensitive the Honmoon is to their voices (and in turn how sensitive they are to the Honmoon), I like to imagine the girls have secondary vocal patterns ingrained in them by the Honmoon, which resemble those of wild large canine and feline species.

Their vocal cords and the neurological patterns that influence them are fundamentally different from the average human, allowing an understanding of these animal-like vocalizations as common language. All that to say, Huntrix doesn’t fall into these “speech” patterns in front of others often, as they do not want to alienate themselves. They were trained well by Celine(who possesses the same vocal ability), maintaining regular human speech whenever they are in public almost perfectly.

…that is an “almost” for a reason though.
