Fashion Santa
Yorkdale mall in Toronto has created a holiday campaign that imagines Santa Claus as a dapper, older gentleman posing in the latest winter fashions.
Russell Powell’s Handprints.
Artist Russell Powell ingeniously paints portraits on his hand then presses them against paper to create one of a kind - literally, since his handprint and fingerprints are part of it - paintings. What a great idea!! You can see more on his Instagram.
Inside Banksy’s Alternative and Grim Version of Disneyland
Welcome to Dismaland, where life isn’t always a fairy tale! Located at the seaside resort of Weston super Mare in the UK, Dismaland is a sinister, dystopian and less glamorous version of Disneyland. As his most ambitious project, Banksy is clearly portraying his authentic views of the famous institution and the “evil” it posses. It is anti-capitalist, dull and clinical modification.
Inside the 2.5 acre site, you will find a grim fairytale castle, a boat pond full of asylum seekers, and other satirical oddities, such as an anarchist training boot camp.
Among its 18 attractions is the Grim Reaper, the sight of Cinderella falling from her pumpkin carriage, and a woman who is morbidly attacked by seagulls.
The exhibition includes pieces from over 50 artists from 17 different countries, which include artists such Damien Hirst, Jenny Holzer and Jimmy Cauty.
You can see Dismaland’s in all its grim glory this weekend, starting on August 22, 2015.

AIR: Gotham Vincent Laforet
“Aerials are surprisingly intimate, they make the world feel smaller.” ~ Vincent Laforet
AIR is a project born of my need to share an important lesson I’ve discovered over the past decade making aerial photographs: the world is much smaller than we think. Borders are irrelevant and distances shortened. Clearly, we are more intimately connected to one another than we may realize. AIR is a once a lifetime experience for our team and I’d like to pay that passion and excitement forward with as many of you as possible. I chose the title AIR because it’s something we all share and are all equally responsible for. By definition AIR doesn’t belong to anyone. It belongs to us all regardless of background, social status and origin, as does this project.
