What do you call a group of Stage Managers?
A “Solution”.
A Solution of Stage Managers.
We call it a “bitter” of stage managers.
A “murder” also seems to be a popular choice.

Tumblr blogger Smug Mode tried to imagine what the 13 incarnations of The Doctor would look like if Doctor Who was an American show, and here is the result. [Source: Smaug Mode | Via]
Not entirely sure I agree with all of these (Nick Cage as the 9th Doctor would have been...very different). And there are some that would have been absolutely amazing (Harrison Ford as the War Doctor would have caused a massive fangasm in my cosplay pants). For me, there are too many big and established names here...which is exactly what American TV has become.
Whovians unite!
I am surprised there are only 26 reasons listed here.
What People Think the Relationship Between Actors and Techs is:
What the Relationship Between Actors and Techs Actually is:
As I like to say;
Actors with out technicians are just people standing on a dark and empty stage trying to emote.
Technicians without actors are people with marketable skills and lots of extra time...at a bar
EVERYTHING
Found some TARDIS self distruct buttons at work the other day!
I haven't done the research to confirm this, but if it's true it's a nice subtle nod by Davies and the rest of the new Who production team to the original show.
I would play the shit out of this game
Should I tell the actors what I really am?
JUST KIDDING!!!
But still, please show up to your calls on time.
Disney movies look a little different when you're a cynical SM who has done TYA
I’m sick.
Birthday During Tech Week?
Forget it.
I have this next month
Both my lighting designer and I (SM) had our birthday during the tech weekend for our Senior show last year. We decorated the tech table, the entire cast sang to us, it was awesome.
Two actors with the same initials are seriously fucking up my blocking notes right now.
That’s why you do character initials… Duh. Every stage manager knows that.
Actually, I prefer to use actor initials, since a) Some characters are not given...
And now my SM conflict resolution instinct kicks in. Every SM is different in their blocking, some use actor's initials, others use character initials, some use both. There are advantages and disadvantages in all cases. What really matters is that you have something that works for you, that you are consistent though out the entirety of your blocking script, and that you keep a 'key' page. All of this is necessary in case some one else has to take over your show and put in an understudy or a replacement.
Personally I like to use character initials or single letters because I think of the show in those terms and because occasionally you get multiple actors playing the same part (having children in a show this sometimes happens) (I use first and second letter so of a name if there are multiple characters with the same first letter of their name). But that's just ME. The only people I force to use my method are my ASMs or other SMs who are going to take over the show from me, and even then it's only for the duration of that production.
Who would you choose?
Yup, as a proud member of 7 of these fandoms I concur
Thanks Matt Smith, it was fun. We're going to miss you, but can't wait to see what you do next.
