this scene from Take Her Back has always been one of my favorites, and while i loved Marcy’s dream, i always wished we’d spend more time to see PB’s reaction. the little we’ve seen basically proved that her nonchalant attitude towards Marceline’s mortality from the first ep in the mini-series was absolute bollocks, and as usual she was burying her own emotions in order to be “the bigger person”.

aaaand this is also my way to shove in my headcanon (totally canon) that the forehead kiss from Marcy’s dream wasn’t just the making of her own wistful subconsciousness, but actually real PB giving her one because she was getting desperate and she thought that might be her last chance to say goodbye.
