I just love seeing really fashionable grandmas out in public. Gives me hope.
"I'm sweating like a pig": scientifically innacurate (pigs don't sweat), mean (kind of implies you think pigs are gross :( not cool dawg)
"I'm sweating like a motherfucker: realistic. you probably would sweat if you fucked someone's mother. implies you've got game
A truthberry might make you tell the truth... But a lieberry? A lieberry will loan you books

when u plug a phone into a computer the comupter always charges the phone even if she has less charge than the phone bc the computer thinks that due to her size she always needs to provide for those smaller than her even when it hurts her more than it helps others. btw
At the beginning of the 15th century, a cat peed on a manuscript… and the scribe didn't take it very well.
(English / Español / Italiano)
To 'immortalise' the disaster, he deliberately left a part blank, drew two hands pointing to the incriminating stain and added a note in Latin (complete with a curse on the culprit).
The meaning, simply put, is this:
“This is not a mistake by the scribe: it is because a cat urinated on the book one night in Deventer. Damn that awful cat… and all others like him. And above all: never leave books open at night where cats can reach them.”
A perfect scene: 600 years ago, same cats… same energy. 🙀

So, I've seen the word 'Medieval' used to describe (or tag) everything from the Roman Imperial period to the beginning of the 19th Century. Have been encountering this for years, but IIRC., the first use of 'Medieval' or 'the Middle Ages' to refer to the past, in contrast to Modernity, was in the 1560's, which has me asking...
What exactly does Medieval mean?
Literally my time to shine.
In western Europe (can't really speak for other areas, I don't know them as much) "medieval" refers to the time period going from the 6-7th to the 15th century.
What most people unknowingly refer to as "medieval" is art/media that was produced after the time period, and is usually referred to as "medievalism". It can be defined as all art/media that represents a time period's mental image of what the Middle Ages looked like.
And, fun fact, you can tell a lot about a society's views on progress and the future depending on how popular medievalism is. For example, in the 1950s, people were really more into SF and futuristic fiction, because there was a more widespread belief that progress was upon them.
Notice how much medieval inspired shit we see these days? Yeah we're getting really nostalgic as a society.

"cringe" is a tool used by dominant classes to keep you silent, in line, and undisturbing. To fuck capitalism, patriarchy, and all the -ism's, BE LOUD. BE COLORFUL. BE THE CHILD OF A BOATHORN AND A RAINBOW.
I feel like the beer can tell whether or not I'm pure of heart. Like the only times I get hungover is when I'm sad-drinking. If I'm happy and having fun I'll be okay, but if the beer senses sadness, I get absolutely destroyed.
i think i’ve cracked the case on life . it’s about being really really happy and then being really really sad . sometimes at the same time. sometimes about the same thing . sometimes about different things simultaneously. sometimes you oscillate back and forth between them.
