I love these extravagant, victorian-like letters. They seem like some type of visual taxidermy. They’ve been created by Spanish based, Yes I do concept.
“The raw material I use, inspire me to mix all these illustrations in an almost sick and dark way,but always colourful and open to interpretation as a goal.”

Jean-Siméon Chardin was listening impatiently to another artist, whose work was distinguished by mere technical facility, go on about the craft of mixing colors.
“So you say one paints with colors?,” asked Chardin impatiently.
"With what else then?" replied the other artist, taken aback.
"One uses colors,” retorted Chardin, “but one paints with feelings.”

Quilt Poem, Pt. 2 for Miz Quickly
Yesterday we wrote a cento. Today we are stripping it. Tomorrow, well, you'll have to come back. I'm not thrilled with today's draft but it's a step in the exercise.
4 Cento: The Moment of Change No one writes lyrics on a battlefield (the fracture of order, the repair of speech to overcome the suffering) -- and what did we think was awaiting after? Lying is done with words and with silence. The words are purposes. The words are maps of my battlefields. There is a price, and this is the oppressor's language -- the thieves who steal us stone by stone that morning light would so coldly delineate the scraps. We remain among the living, cemeteries of remorse, withhold our eyes from sights that loosen keystones in the brain. The sudden void is there always and deeper than all roots can grow, victories turned inside out but no surrender. I know it hurts to burn, have stood and witnessed how an end awaits whatever men can do. The moment of change is the only poem. From the poems of Adrienne Rich: 'Diving Into the Wreck' 'Quarto' 'The Burning of Paper Instead of Children' 'The Marriage Portion' 'Living in Sin' 'Moving Inland' 'The Survivors' Jone Johnson Lewis. "Adrienne Rich Quotes." About Women's History.
Cento for Miz Quickly
We have a three part exercise for Miz Quickly, so I am posting here so as not to collide with my blog posts in the next couple of days. Also, I keep forgetting I have and like tumblr.
Cento: The Moment of Change Lying is done with words and also with silence. The words are purposes. The words are maps the map of my battlefields -- no one writes lyrics on a battlefield (the fracture of order the repair of speech to overcome this suffering) -- and what did we think was awaiting after? There is a price. There is a price, and this is the oppressor's language -- the thieves of our completeness who steal us stone by stone that morning light would so coldly delineate the scraps. We remain among the living withhold our eyes from sights that loosen keystones in the brain. The sudden void is there always and deeper than all roots can grow. The sea is another story: cemeteries of remorse, the sea is not a question of power, victories turned inside out but no surrender, the drowned face always staring toward the sun. I crawl like an insect down the ladder and there is no one to tell me when the ocean will begin. I know it hurts to burn have stood and witnessed how an end awaits whatever men can do.
