Hello...?
I-I.....
Why?Â
Thank God someone finally did it.
H-he tried.... he tried to....

Journal Entry #7
I killed him...
I killed someone, Journal.
I mean, he came back, but....
There was so much blood. I felt like I was drowning in it.
Tate found me with Daddy face down. He said if we turned him a little, he'd drown in it.
It was nice. I got all my anger out... I don't know if I want to do it again, though.........
I don't think I can bring myself to go into the study again. Not for a while. I need a new hiding spot hang out.
Wishing I could go outsideâŠ
Oh....
Why?
Bloody Mess||OPEN
Tate stood still for a moment as Mari ran into him, not quite embracing her or turning her away. What she had done to him and Violet was far from his mind at the moment. Surrounded by the mess of his fatherâs blood, it was hard to think of anything else. His arm reached up to wrap around Mari, letting the terrified girl lean against him for the moment among the chaos. He was drinking it in; planning for the time when this would be his mess to clean.
"Itâs okay. You did what you had to do," Tate shrugged, eyes still locked on all that blood. It was hard to feel sorry for her when he was wishing it could have been him. It didnât matter to her that she was terrified; he deserved it. The man deserved to be killed ten times over. "He deserved it."
Mari listened to Tate. He deserved it. She agreed with him on this one; the monster deserved to die. She was shaking as she slowly pulled out of the slightly awkward hug and looked back at the mess she had made."I bit him.... Hard." She couldn't help but let out of the slightest chuckle, her lips forming a small smirk for a couple seconds before going back into a frown.
"Don't tell anyone I did this...." She said quietly, the blood around her mouth drying, making her skin feel tight and weird. "Th-they'll all think I'm a m-monster...." Fresh tears were stinging her eyes, but she squeezed her eyes tightly, pushing them away. "H-he tried to.... he wouldn't stop...." Just thinking about what he tried to do to the poor girl pushed the tears out, a few slipping down her cheeks.
Whatcha doin'?
Bloody Mess||OPEN
The house had been the kind of quiet that could make a person crazy. The only sound reverberating off the walls were the echoes of Tateâs shoes on the wood floor as he made his way through the hallway. There was no one around which meant that it was probably a conscious effort to stay of the teenagerâs way. For a while, the silence was welcome. He had sat with Violetâs blood on his mouth for what seemed like hours before finally washing it away. Every now and then he still tasted her even though the blood was long gone from his face. He still had that small part of her. It was his.
A shrill scream interrupted his thoughts, breaking the eerie silence of the house. After the quiet, the struggling upstairs was obvious and he could hear Mariâs angry voice yelling at someone. Get away! Leave! He was heading up the stairs before he realized what he was doing, his mind now completely free of the flowerâs hold for the time being. It was obvious before he was even all the way up the stairs where the voices were coming from and a rage sank in. He could hear pained grunting and more shuffling, and by the time he turned the corner it was over.Â
The room was covered in blood. So much, he couldnât escape it. The sight of it didnât bother him- actually, it was⊠intriguing. In the middle of it all laid the body of his father, a chunk of skin hacked out of his arm, his back torn up in a tapestry of dark puddles, dripping and oozing. There was a mixture of relief and hesitance. The man would be waking up soon, and he hoped whoever did this wouldnât hesitate to do it again when he did. He was about to turn and leave the man to drown in his own blood when he caught a pathetic ball of a girl in his peripherals.Â
Mari was in the corner of the room and she looked like hell itself. She was covered in blood- the theme of the day- and she was in the state for which he knew her best. Crying. Tate would have left her alone to deal with her mess if not for her blood coated hands.
"If we turn him a little he might even drown in it."
Mari's head jerked up when sh heard that same familiar voice; it was Tate's. She could feel the blood around her mouth start to dry, leaving a penny like taste in her mouth. "Tate....." It was the only thing she could get out at the moment. She wiped away the tears on her cheeks, forgetting her blood soaked hands. She stood up and ran past the body on the ground and into Tate, not caring if he hated her or not.
"He t-tried to hurt me...." She showed him the bruises forming on her wrists, and she could feel them forming on her ankles as well. She couldn't even really process at the moment, she just looked up at her older brother, a helpless look on her face, like a lost puppy. Mari turned around and looked at the mess. She was... horrified. She'd just killed someone; her own father.
OPEN
Mariana was back in the study, where she aways went whenever she was upset and she needed to be alone. She and Tate got into another fight, but she felt that this was their last one, for he would never speak to her again. She shoved him, he slapped her, grabbed her, she bit him again, knowing it would probably leave another scar on his hand. Mari was so upset; she wanted things to be nice between them. They were siblings, it was supposed to come natural between them. Who knew he was the one to hurt her so much.
She stood in the corner with her back towards the room, as if she were in a time out that lasted forever. The tears that she had once cried had stopped, leaving glimmers of dried rivers on her rosy cheeks. She was so sick and tired of being angry and upset and weak all the time. She was a Langdon by blood, she was supposed to be strong willed and determined and brave. Rage bubbled up inside of her, her small hands balling up into tight fists until her knuckles turned white. Mari started slamming her fists against the wall, feeling her boiled blood slowly cool down, but just not quite enough.
She could feel the skin on her knuckles start to break, and just then did she come to a stop. Her hands were almost numb, but she could still feel the slightest pinch. Mari stood still, still lingering in the corner, but froze stiller than still when she heard footsteps behind her. "Leave me alone, Chad, I don't want to deal with your--" Her sentence was cut off by a rough hand over her mouth from behind, feeling the ghost tug her out of the corner and throwing her onto the floor. She landed on her back with a grunt and a gasp for air, even though she didn't really need it come to her condition, and stared up in horror at the man who threw her down with such force.
It wasn't Chad, or even Tate, but her own father, Hugo Langdon, the smell of alcohol oozing from his pores as he lingered above the poor, defenseless girl. "You look jus' like yur motherwhen she was yur age.." His words slurred. Mari's mind went into panic when she watched him come closer to her, slowly falling onto his knees to try to climb on top of her.
"Get away! Leave!" Mari shouted, pushing herself backwards and away with her feet, but was stopped short when she felt a harsh grip around her ankle, and she let out a shrilling scream when he pulled her back to him. Tears were streaming down her cheeks, she struggled and struggled, trying to get away from her father. She looked around for anything she could use against him, and reached for the letter opener that was resting on the side table by her favorite chair. "I said let go you motherfucker!" She shouted one last time and jammed the letter opener in the man's hand. There was a cry of pain, and he released her.
"You sick son of a bitch..." Mari growled through her teeth, pulling the letter opener out of Hugo's hand. Something had definitely changed in Mari. She was just attacked, almost raped, by her own father. Maybe the crazy Chad said ran through her veins was finally leaking out, bit by bit, until she finally snapped. "You think you can just.... attack me? Raoe me?" Her well wasn't dry, new tears streaming down her cheeks. "You monster..." She sobbed, and kneed him where it hurts, watching him crumple to the ground in front of her. That was her chance.
Mari got down and sat on his back, the letter opener shaking in her hands. With a single breath, she brought it down and into the flesh of her father, stabbing him with all of the anger she had. When she was finished, she got up and stood in front of him, out of breath, the letter opener dropping from her bloodied hands. She let out a scream and jumped when his corpse reanimated itself, his hands reaching for her ankkles and succeeding in grabbing them, his grip hard. Why did she have to bruise so easily? Falling backwards, Mari tried her best to scoot away from Hugo, but he wouldn't let go. He used her body to climb up her, and he held onto her wrists, which gave Mari another good advantage.
Struggling, Mari managed to get loose one of her wrists, and she reached and grabbed his arm, bringing it to her lips. Her teeth sunk deep into Hugo's arm until Mari had a mouth full of flesh. Just then, she yanked her head to the side, the meat coming off of Hugo's arm, and managed to escape his grip when he pulled back, sobbing in pain. She felt like she was going to vomit as the hunk of meat plopped out of her mouth. It tasted as if she shoved a bunch of pennies in her mouth; the taste of iron from the blood was too strong. She needed to flee, but she felt so weak, she just steped away from the crime scene and sank into another corner of the study, bloodied, bruised, and in tears.
Mari just shook her head and chuckled at Tate. âYou always walk away donât youâŠ.â she said under her breath. What was happening to them? They had a decent sibling relationship, now look at them. âWhat did I do to make you hate me so much?!â She was yelling again. Sheâd...
Mari stared at Tate, her eyes looking for some sort of emotion. She brought her hands up a little in defense and slowly started taking some steps backwards. "That's all you had to say..." she said quietly, and turned around, running up the basement stairs.
mari-inthemurderhouse:
Mari couldnât handle any of this anymore. She wanted to leave and never come back. âI donât believe⊠anything youâre saying..â she mumbled. She seemed weaker suddenly, more fragile and easier to be broken. âJust kill me again if you donât want me here, Tate. I knowâŠ

They had a decent sibling relationship, now look at them. âWhat did I do to make you hate me so much?!â She was yelling again. Sheâd have a sore throat the next day, thatâs for sure. âJust tell me what I did and I will leave. What do I have to do to not make you hate me so much?! I have never hurt you, Tate.... so why harm me?! I don't deserve it!"
Mari crept into Violetâs room, shaking slightly after what had happened in the basement with Tate. Her cheek mustve been red, because it still stung, but she ignored it. âHey, ViâŠâ she said quietly, sitting on the edge of the bed.
Violet watched as Mari crept in...
"I'm sorry I broke you...." She said as quietly as a breath. "I ruined everything... you were so happy..." her fingers fiddled with a small string on the girls bed comforter. "I.... I just fuck everything up... all the time... and I'm sorry....."
Mari crept into Violet's room, shaking slightly after what had happened in the basement with Tate. Her cheek mustve been red, because it still stung, but she ignored it. "Hey, Vi..." she said quietly, sitting on the edge of the bed.
Mari gasped, feeling Tateâs hand strike her. âYou never deserved her Tate⊠Youâre just a monster. A filthy goddamn monster!â Mari was shouting so much her throat was sore. Her cheek was stinging, and she brought her hand up to return a strike, but she couldnât bring...

"You were the one I was supposed to look up to... the one who was supposed to protect me! I don't matter to you, and neither does Vi and you know it!" Mari let out a sob. She didn't even know what she was saying anymore. She could taste blood in her mouth, but she didn't even know if it was her own.
