This is a thought I've had myself but I felt like Pietro might have also thought about it and would bring it up lol Just one of the many hang outs while Pietro is stuck giant and Bobby is just spending time with him before it came out that Bobby had a crush on him. This would be shortly before that point I think, where Bobby's really starting to wonder if he might have a chance with Pietro with how well they're getting along but also is scared to ruin their friendship... He'd need some encouragement from some other friends before asking Pietro out, which is the Coney Island "date" that isn't a date bc he panicked last minute and other people were there and Tabby tells Pietro Bobby likes him and it all turns into a mess... (sigh) Ah, these boys...

Pietro saw his boy genuinely distraught and dropped the usual teasing to give some affirming words of comfort. It's not gay to scoop up your friends like a small beloved critter and tell them you still like them despite their weirder quirks, right fellas??
