@dearmariah428 I actually moved to North Somerset today but I still work in Bristol :) it’s a lovely city! Let me know if you need any good recommendations (I can recommend you some bomb ass food places!)
Bomb-ass food places are my favorite thing, obviously! Looking at the Bristol Beer Fest in October– have you been?
Never been to that and never heard of it. Weird. If you are coming to the West Country you need to get on the cider train though. There is a lovely little pub/boat called The Apple on the Harbourside that specialises in regional ciders. And literally 5 minutes away in King Street you have so many little pubs (I love the Beer Emporium, it’s in the basement of where they used to keep wine and they kept all of the old structure. They also really know their beer if that is really your thing. Psychopump is my favourite little weird place. It used to be a grocery store and now it’s a micro gin distillery. They only serve gin and it’s amazing.
Best brunch: Rosemarino’s in Clifton village. Best eggs royale I have ever had. I have heard very good things about the Clifton Sausage too. My favourite cheap italian is Vincenzo’s in Park Street. It’s a small, family owned italian restaurant and at lunch for £5 you can get a pizza or pasta with salad or chips. Bargain and the food is amazing and very authentic.
Uh go to the Turtle Bay too! Some of the best cocktails in town and it’s happy “hour” all day until 7pm. They make amazing caribbean food.
God I should stop now haha never realised how much I really really love this place!
You should try to come some year in August for the Balloon Fiesta, it’s brilliant!
The Balloon Fiesta sounds amazing! And thanks for the cider tip-- I love cider, my husband is the beer snob! Anyways, I sooo appreciate the tips all around, and will let you know if we book a trip to your neck of the woods.

Yesterday, another treadmill 5K PR. Today, 2K to get steps in plus Body Combat. Two days and ten hours until my best friend gets here and I waste it all on wine, cheese and chocolate!

A quick 3K (well, slow, but before class) before Body Combat and a lovely shot from the La Chouffe party in Haarlem last night.
Ran my fastest 5K ever today. I know it's a treadmill so doesn't really count for a PR, but I'm happy with myself! I walked the first four minutes or so. Stayed on for a full hour, got super cramps at about 6 km but pushed through 7 before speed walking to round out the hour.
