As someone who was raised and went to school in rich and not so rich neighborhoods, there is a clear disparity in which neighborhoods have better gifted programs. While the Richard Neighbourhood definitely did do a lot better by the students they did happen to have this interesting thing where a lot of the gifted program was just autistic and neurodivergent children, along with people who wanted to abuse GPA inflation.

one of my least favourite tumblrisms is the weird fervent belief in the virtuousness of physical violence. like the whole "um, clearly youve never been in a situation where you could get your ass kicked" in reponse to someone like, saying something rude.
