I should post more art here so here's my Touhou Project self-insert! Long story short, the scenario includes being kidnapp-- spirited away from the human village by Yukari, kept for a few months as a servant/entertainment with the intent of being eaten at the end of it because youkai are like that, but actually ending up gaining the Yakumos' affection and being properly and permanently taken in as a servant and part of the family. It's a very self indulgent comfort scenario of mine that's been running for several years (mostly through daydreaming and sometimes roleplays) and one of the things that keeps me going.

Hakurei God headcanons (pasted from discord)

My personal headcanon is that the Hakurei shrine god is just. The God of Hakurei. And by that I mean the spiritual/divine emanation/impersonation of the Hakurei as not just a lineage, but their duty and oath to the coexistence project, and later Gensokyo, the Barrier, etc. In the same way as Miko are shamans possessed/invested by their God, the God also is invested by the Hakurei themselves, in a kind of loop (yin yang orb much?) and such. Idk might just be my love for 'divinity born of human will' and such In other words: I think it's a cool take of the typical shaman-God relationship, is the thing. Usually, the shaman/miko propitiates the God for it to invest itself in them, but in my theory, it's a much more balanced, symbiotic relationship. The God invests the Shaman who invests the God who (repeat). And I think it ties in not just with the yin-yang motif (an otherwise taoist symbol), but the idea of balance, and more importantly, the idea of the Youkai project and coexistence between humans and youkai. Of symbiotic feeding and balancing between the two parts, while also remaining Unknown. And just like how Youkai are born (or at least influenced) by human ideas and their perception, the Hakurei God is the Hakurei's own Will, their psyche and oath and own spiritual selves made into a Divine Being. It's a youkai in all but name, and that's fitting for the Hakurei Miko. Lady Yukari may have set the plans for the Gensokyo Project, and the Sages may have lent their powers to its creation, but it is Human Will that ties it together. And I think that's beautiful and representative of Gensokyo.

Hi! I haven't been on here for a while! I had decided to take a sudden break from tumblr/uninstall it from my phone for Mental Health Reasons (tm).

I think I'm feeling a bit better now so I'm going to be trying to post more but be moderate in my tumblr time, so probably not as active as before but There :)
