For my own enjoyment I took one of my favourite characters, Blinky Bill, and morphed him into an Ed Big Daddy Roth style creature. I call him Finky Bill. I fell in love with this character so much I ended up doing a few more illustration of him and even invented him a girlfriend. I named Finky's girl Meggs after Ginger Meggs, Australia's longest running comic strip. I've had a blast kitting her out with Australian icons, from her 'slip slop slap' badge circa 1980 , the tattoo of the Chesty Bonds man on her leg, right down to the thick work socks tucked into her steel toed Blundstone boots. I also plan to showcase a different native plant in each drawing. Like Meggs herself, our native flora are both fierce and beautiful.

More of the Pits of Hell Pit Crew
Thought it would be fun to make an Ed Roth style version of an Australian icon... "Finky Bill"

Greaser Monkey
Playing around with some t-shirt ideas for Lucky's Speed Shop in Sydney. Trying to incorporate some of the existing motifs like the 'Greaser Monkey' character and the playing card symbols.
Poster for upcoming music festival Rock en Seine in Paris, France. For this poster I wanted it to be more like a comic, a still image or a 'pregnant moment' that tells a story and gives a feeling of past and present.
I got a lot of inspiration from photos of country and western singers from the early sixties and the Grand Ole Opry. I particularly love the elaborate detailing on the outfits worn on stage and how the genre depicts religious iconography.
New pages for Strange Behaviour No.2!
My partner took me on a hot date to a 'Nostalgia Prom'.. in a barn. Nothing gives me a squeeze in the chest like seeing old couples being quietly sweet to each other.
Practicing doing some 50s style illustrated logos
Thinking about turning this one into a painted sign for a make believe 50s car wash.. 'Johnny Hollywood's Wash n' Wax'.
"I just love tuck and roll upholstery"
Portrait of the day: Debbie from American Graffiti
This my first comics page done in quite some time. I was really worried after finishing my first book Strange Behaviour, that I would never gather up enough time, energy or even stories to start another collection but here it is, a solid start! I started to miss Binks a little

Whilst perusing the over flowing shelves in a second hand book store in Sydney, I came across this fantastic book by Lisa Eisner called 'Shriners'. The Shriners where and are, a not so secret order of mystic noble men who aimed to restore the original values set by other secret societies. The Shriners aimed to remove all monetary or political agendas previously held by other orders, and give directly to their communities. The Shriner where best known for their elaborate 'Arab Sheik' like costumes adorned with sequined mystic symbols and topped off with the trade mark fez.
