Don't Post Hauls If You Boost
Before reading, please check out my disclaimer.
(At least don't post boosting hauls unless you know what you're doing)
EXIF data on your pictures reveal your location, date taken, device used, and more.
Backgrounds reveal a lot.
Generic brands reveal a lot.
If your haul is posted, then the same items in the same quantities just happen to show up on Facebook Marketplace or Mercari from your zip code. It's sus af
Your seller profiles got your personal info, location or face on them.
Once you get a sale, your address and legal name is revealed to the buyer (check with each platform). And yes, police and LP and companies do sting investigations and buy your items.
Y'all are leaving RFID stickers ON the boosted items and in the listing pictures...RFID tags sometimes have the address of the store you lifted from on them. STOP this.
Should you get caught and go to court, they know what you stole, how many, and the value, and you will be on the hook for ALL OF IT. This is also why I don't post the amount I've "saved". You're ADMITTING details they don't have. STOP. Like substances, it's better to just get caught with what you have on hand.
Remedies if you REALLY want to post your hauls:
Use stock photos/white backgrounds
Don't post generic brand items
List sparingly and vary your platforms and posting times
Wipe seller profiles of as much personal info as possible.
Change the money between as much hands as possible. End with gift cards.
Take the damn RFID and security tags and stickers off please.
Stop tallying your hauls. Or downplay the costs. Keep it below felony.
Use Tor and a paid VPN to secure your IP and Internet activity from both your ISP and any onlookers online.
Stay safe, lovelies. And happy lifting.
