marina really thought she’d left enough time between the ending of her marriage and the beginning of her new relationship -- a year was.. decent, right? -- but evidently she’d been wrong. she really did love connor, and their relationship thrived for over a year before she begun to realize she wasn’t being entirely true to herself, nor to him. with lingering guilt and feelings toward her ex-husband, it was making it difficult for her to give connor her all, so the two amicably split, but they still care deeply for each other, and there’s definitely still something there.

I liked it, but wished Emma Watson could actually sing — though it didn’t hurt that she looked great, so I’ll allow it. It was a beautiful scene and the visuals when the new Beyoncé song played were gorgeous, but… yeah. You’re right. It felt a little out of place to hear a new Beyoncé song during The Lion King.

See, maybe it’s because I’m 100% tone deaf myself, but I didn’t hear what was so wrong with her singing? I thought she sounded pretty good. Better than when she tries to do an American accent, anyway. Have you ever tortured yourself with The Bling Ring? If not, watch the trailer just to hear the accent. It’s... Something. I love Bey, I just don’t need her fucking with my Disney.

Nope. I'm like.. hella behind on superhero stuff. So much so that I’ve never really watched any of them. I heard there was a cute af cat in Captain Marvel though, so I tried watching but it didn’t show up within the first ten minutes so I bailed.

marina met kendrick when she was twenty-two years old, with the two falling head over heels for one another quickly, and marrying within six months. they were together for around a year before kendrick brought up the conversation of children, which marina didn’t want, but didn’t have the heart to tell him. so, she got on the pill behind his back, and pretended to be disappointed each time they’d be faced with yet another negative pregnancy test. her facade lasted about another year, before kendrick found her supply, with the end of their marriage following soon after. it has been four years now since the divorce, and while marina is pretending to do great and focusing on herself, it still completely eats her up inside, and she absolutely hates herself for hurting the man who could potentially have been the love of her life.

although they didn’t meet until they were both settled in los angeles, anyone would think marina and casey had known one another their whole lives. they had an instant connection and became best friends quickly. they tell each other everything, and are always on each other’s side. definitely one another’s biggest hype girls, too.

Unfortunately, as a mom, most of my me-days are mom days. Which isn’t a bad thing, but alone time isn’t all that common for me lately.

But when you can take them, you should. Gotta take care of you too, mama.

Do you ever have one of those days where you just need to take the day off and have a me-day? Today is my me-day. Jo’s happily having an unexpected day with Dad, and I’m just lounging by the pool trying to settle my thoughts. Nothing’s wrong at all, I just needed to be alone and enjoy my own presence. Is that strange? How do you spend your me-time?

Me days are super important, you should take as many of them as you can. The trainer in me wants to tell you that you should try to stay active still, so go for walks or sit in the shade and read so your mind’s still doing it’s thing, but definitely take all of the me time you can.

Live. Action. Remakes. I’ve watched a few in theaters already — Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin and now The Lion King. Sure, people feel strongly about them one way or the other, but I’m curious as to what you guys think. Yay or nay when it comes to live action remakes? And what would you love (or hate!) to see remade? As for me, I watched the Cats trailer and now wish any live action… anything would cease to exist.

I’d try to lie and say I wasn’t totally here for Beauty and the Beast but my sensitive ass cried from beginning to end, so I felt like that set a good standard. Not here for The Lion King, though. Bey may be the queen none of us deserve, but I heard they replaced one of the songs with an original by her and that ain’t it.
