I missed the first two races, which was unfortunate because there was so much anticipation for the championship with the new regulations! I couldn't watch them in real time, but I watched them later. My general thoughs.

George is a fantastic driver, and he showed it last year! He totally deserves to win DC this year.

Kimi learns so fast! Valtteri was right; he's like a sponge. I almost cried when I watched the post-race interview after his first win.

Ferrari! Thank God they managed to build a good car with interesting aerodynamic designs. They will definitely fight for the CC. It's Lewis's first podium since 2024! Glad for him. I'm also glad Charles enjoyed the competition between them. I hope it stays fun for him for the rest of the DC.

Finally, Pierre and Franco have something worthwhile under their bu... in their hands.They've earned good points so far. All of the 2025 rookies were amazing!

Arvid Lindblad is the only 2026 rookie. If he drives like that, he will go far.

What about McLaren and Williams? McLaren chose to focus on this season instead of updating their cars in the second half of 2025. Williams didn't update their cars at all, choosing to focus on this year. Oscar didn't start two races in a row. Lando fought for fifth place in Australia, then he ended up DNS. Carlos fought for ninth place in China, and I consider his two points a miracle. Are these the results of their "concentration"? Do they even know what that word means?

Another question: Why does Honda constantly haunt and torture Fernando on the track? After all this time, they should realize that they're like single-pole magnets—they can't work together! I'm not sure what your point is about Ricky. Him and Lewis famously didn't gel. There's been numerous incidents of miscommunication Not only is that bad for confidence, but bad communication leads to penalties. There was no other option but to change him. It's obvious it could've happened earlier but making the change midseason could be too disruptive. Is it really a surprise they don't get on? Lewis has been fighting Ricky and his drivers over the championship for years, there's baggage and tension that other drivers don't have when they move teams. No one is saying that's the reason for the failure of the season; the number one reason is the bad design of the car, everything else is secondary. There's obviously something wrong when a car starts on pole and can't finish on the podium. It's not unique to Ferrari but when other teams have a good car, it masks the secondary issues.

Regarding Lewis and his race engineer situation: I thought the best approach would be to replace Adami as soon as they realized they weren't compatible. I still think so. His new race engineer needs time to get to know Lewis and the team. Time is very important that year. I hope it will be a good year for Lewis. He looks different on the track compared to last year. 🤞🏼

There are a few rumors about Lewis's race engineer.

As I wrote in the middle of the 25th championship, there were rumors about Ferrari.

It seems like they need someone to blame for their failure. Riccardo Adami is the most likely person to be blamed. Obviously, Lewis and Adami didn't get along. It seems like they didn't even try. Rumor has it that the new race engineer will be someone who previously worked at the Mercedes team, was fired, and then joined Ferrari. A familiar scheme, isn't it? Just like with Angela. But we'll see. I can't shake the feeling that this is a distraction from something more significant.

Fred Vasseur is a master at distracting people and blaming others!

Do you remember what he started talking about after the double disqualification in the Chinese Grand Prix? The argument between Lewis and Charles. He preferred to shift the focus from the double disqualification to the drivers and preferred his drivers to be attacked by the press. And it worked! Charles and Lewis had to answer an avalanche of questions about their rivalry and just a few about the disqualification.

In that case, I think we're witnessing a similar situation. According to another rumor, Vasseur has until the end of May to prove that he knows where he's leading the team. Regardless, I still hope this change will help Lewis connect with the rest of the team. He deserves better treatment. Not only is he a seven-time world champion, he's also a good driver and a good person.

Regarding Adami, I remember a rumor that Carlos offered him a position as race engineer on the Williams team. James wasn't opposed to it. At that point, he agreed to everything just to sign Carlos to the team. To be fair, Adami is an experienced and skilled racing engineer who has extensive experience working with a legendary team and knows how to win.

However, Riccardo chose to stay and work with another world champion. Some say this was the reason for the tense relationship between Carlos and Gaetan at the beginning of last season. However, Carlos managed to improve his relationships with the new race engineer and the team.

If he had the opportunity, I wonder what Adami would choose: to be a racing engineer at Williams or to manage the Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy.
