An Indie Ash;;

Hello everyone! I’m Ash’s mun, and well, this is my blog for Ash, haha. I will be roleplaying him post Johto and pre everything else, so that’s really the only twist to it! I will be roleplaying him as impulsive, reckless, and brash, yet still clearly maturing and overcoming his faults both as a trainer and as a person!

I only hope a lot of you in the Pokemon fandom rebog that so I can interact with ya! I will be making a promo banner and fixing anything that needs to be fixed later in the day, so expect that, too! In the meantime, hope I can roleplay with all of you!

1. soulmates au

Misty knows there is more to soulmates than just meeting and having your heart glow, or something like that. It’s hard to stomach the thought that she has no choice in who she’s meant to be with— but at the same time, it’s a little comforting, knowing that there’s someone out there who’ll be with you forever, even through things that are… difficult.

On impulse, she swivels in her seat, laying her legs across Red’s lap. He lifts his cup like a pro, and Misty lays her head on his shoulder, then places her hand on his heart. Real life isn’t like those stories, she thinks. Maybe it’s not a glow, but more the way your heart tugs at the sight of them. Like, ‘Oh, there you are, I’ve been looking for you my entire life.’

Is it possible that she’s just babbling to herself? Probably. But the way Red smiles— gently, like these memories are something fond to him— makes her thing otherwise. 

"And when we did that fake wedding thing. That was fun. I remember my mom was so into it, too. I’d like to get married for real one day."

He squeezes her hand, and she blushes a bit. The fact that he doesn’t talk much puts a little enticing mystery around him— Misty had noticed that a long, long time ago.

It’s probably the reason she had approached him in the first place. He had been all by himself. And no one really wanted to be friends with a loud mouthed tomboy like her. They were, almost, perfect. She spoke for him in most instances; she was sure she knew what he wanted. (And in most cases, she did, despite not hearing  him actually talk until a few months into the friendship.)

"Me too."

22. two miserable people meeting at a wedding au

The two flash their fake I.D’s, and they’re not fooling anyone, but the man behind the bar hands them something fruity anyway. They sit there in silence, both feeling pretty pathetic— misery does love company. Only makes sense that the two most irritated people in the room would gravitate towards each other.

"Weddings are such bullshit." The guy speaks first, and Misty tilts her head towards them. She can’t tell if he’s already gone with a few sips, or if he’s just seriously-outspoken.

"Yeah." 

He falls quiet again, and she’s not sure if he’s gonna talk to her again. But she’s lost her sisters— who she came with— in the crowd, and even if she actually knew where they were, she doubted they’d take her home.

"Do you wanna dance?"

"No." He says it as bluntly as possible, enough so that Misty find it slightly humorous. Maybe in a different environment, she’d be pissed off. But for now, almost anything was better than sitting at the bar alone. Even talking to an annoying, obviously self-absorbed stranger.

"Fine, if you would rather sit there and wallow in your own self pity, don’t let me stop you." Despite what she said, neither of the two actually moved.

"What’s your name?"

"Misty."

"Oh."

"What’s yours?"

"Gary."

"Oh."

"…. Wanna ditch?" Gary pats his pocket, and she can hear keys jingle. 

"…. Sure."

Misty doesn’t know whether to scowl or accept his help— because she really is lost, and she really does need his assistance. 

"Fine."

"Well, in that case, my name is Brock, and I’ll be your tour guide today."

That has to be the cheesiest smile she’s ever seen in her entire life.
