amandissolved:
fuck.
fuck.
fuck.
fuck.
Fuck.
No, he does not
want to roll out
of bed. It’s a
safe coccoon of
warmth, not ready
for the icy chill
that awaits,
day after day.
uncontrollable thoughts gushing out without a dam or levee to block emotions in an uncontrollable pace racing through, a spew of rubbish coming out, mixed in with gold dust and what nots, things you put in, time and time again, added to the boiling tar within, no way to stop or slow down, endless buggies at a railroad crossing stop now
whiskey warm seeps through
soon the tunnels begin to glow
slow down start spinning
This is it, the last time,
so bittersweet, like what just
went down my throat,
so warm, it makes me moody,
i look out, a man
bobbing from side to side,
the room tense, should I hide?
i’m looking straight on, thinking,
BB looks up to the left,
they’ve studied him, not me,
I’m done, I get up to leave.
you walk you talk
to the walls
you mop you stop
the heavy rains
you keel you feel
the heat within
you bake you rake
the leaves away
tentacular pulse
what is my elixir?
I ask and ask again
here’s what I want
not too big
in rococococo
give me my elixir
have you figured it out?
to make things better
what color you ask
I say to you
shades of blue and green
and grey’s and what nots
like a box of crayons
the waxy smell
we can do without
instead we’ll infuse it
with gardenia and jasmine
real hydrangeas in vases
a giant shag rug here
a persian one there
a chaise by the window
the balcony door open
glittering cityscape outside
distant noises of life below
a glass carafe
with crystal clear water
so have you found it?
this elixir
I’m still looking
grey
it’s June,
she leaves,
summer drags on,
grey, bursts of orange, grey,
July,
he leaves,
more dragging in the heat,
August,
she leaves again,
he leaves for good,
grey, bursts of orange, grey,
September,
another one leaves,
we’re left behind,
waiting waiting waiting,
grey, bursts of orange, grey,
no room to pause,
not then,
but now,
no time to stop,
onward, full speed,
no coming back to this,
grey, bursts of orange, grey,
grey,
hopes of bursts of orange,
but mostly just grey,
I too shall take that step,
into the bursts of orange.
Intoxicating Stink
Overflowing with milk tetra packets, garlands of wilted jasmine and marigold, Rotting banana peels, mixed in with decaying food matter, Swarms of flies and mosquitoes around, two crows, picking out scraps, A mangy flea-infested dog with half a tail, sniffing around, It reeks, it slowly makes its way up your nose, Then reaches down and yanks your guts out, The stench taking over your body, that pungent, moist, nastiness, That revolting, foul foul odor, intoxicates you while burning your insides, It’s hideous and repulsive, and makes your stomach turn, But there’s something sweet, warm, something familiar- I’m home.
Like a wave trying to escape, But is pulled back into the deep dark ocean Over and over again, a little further Each time, lapping at the sand, Yearning for more, leaving a little residue, But the same fate awaits. Perhaps it’s what’s meant to be, Or one day, instead of only pools of water, The wave will make a crashing leap, onto the sand, And continue on, glancing back, onto eternity… (Unless the current is so strong that the wave just gets sucked back into the scary, scary, black, murky depths of the ocean.)
I see spots and squigglies floating around in front of me.
Reminding me of some type of ultra sound image.
I think they might be alive.
But they don't come out everyday.
