I am working on a RPG with little experience, so it would be great to read you talk about your favourite monsters and why you love them so much!!
Just tell me why you like them! Share your hyperfixation on how mermaids would behave, how much you hated yet loved molbols or giant bats, how you believe that the catoblepas is misunderstood or how most people know nothing real about, i dunno, cockatrices or anything!
(Also, sharing this could help to get more answers!!)
Here are 3 new entities we have tracked in my seasonal divination zine Portents! This edition has 13 entities that we have found have a finger within the material sphere and whose activities can affect our daily lives! Get an issue though Big Whale Consignment or Ophelia's Books in Seattle, Wa or find me at future cons and get the issue there!
Also for 5$ a month you'll have access to all my existing editions of Portents as digital PDFs along with creature tokens, ttrpg accoutrements, and other shit I make!
Here's a peak at a page of a new zine I'm working on! It's a visual roll table of a 100 scenes that players and game masters can interpret based on the vibe of the game and the scene in the picture.
I figure it would be fun to see how people would interpret a little guy coming outta woods from a drawing; like is it a quest hook to help a lost goblin, a scout who unexpectedly wandered into you company, or a hanger on from the trail finally coming out from the shadows?
Stay tuned and I'll post some more pages! If you join my patreon for 5$ a month you'll get a PDF copy of the zine along with access to other stuff I've made!
The world’s so hard and bitter and it makes you want to flee,
Chasin’ gods from where they sleep to where they drink the sea.
You chase ‘em to the stations, you chase ‘em to the zoo,
And then you chase ‘em home again after their bodies’ due.
One day you ask them what it is that makes it all worthwhile
They point to Itsy Bee who can’t help but make you smile
You watch the Youtube video and each time you would cry
Watch this cartoon pup and Cap’n whose love will never die
If he and Itsy Bee would sail to Gaza’s shores today
They’d bring in food and water so that kids will be okay
Itsy Bee will fetch the arrows while Cap’n brings the bow
That stop the rain of airstrikes hurtling down below
Itsy Bee will sail and sail until Palestine is free
She’ll bark for Congo, Hawai’i, Sudan, Haiti—
For in this life you know that every creature has its role
And this sweet oat with her best friend will fight until they’re old
When you dream of freedom Itsy Bee comes to mind
And no cap’n worth their salt would leave anyone behind
And when some kids are livin’ in an itsy bitsy hovel
While others and their family are buried under the rubble
They’ll sail there and help fight with their mighty bow n’ arrow
They’ll bring all the medicine along with bread and taro
And if the sea is kind to them they’ll carry out pots of fish
Feed and heal the children and their families who all wish
That the world would care and stop this, don’t scroll when you see
Chasin’ kids from where they sleep to where they meet the sea.
We chased ‘em to the border, we chased ‘em in the zoo,
But one day they’ll go back home again as free people do.
A beautiful poem written by Jane Shi and illustrated by me in the style of the original itsy bee animation! It took me a few months, but I'm so proud of how this turned out! This is my first time producing a full length illustrated booklet, so there was a lot of learning to be had.
We have both a digital version and a physical Canadian pre-order on Big Cartel! You can also pick up a free version on my Itch page, but any donation is greatly appreciated.
As well, please consider making an additional donation to my friend @kareman-dohaan. Many of her photos were used as inspiration for certain details in my illustrations. She is vetted by both gaza_evacuations_funds and 90-ghost.
So last year and such I started doing daily little illustrations on 2.5x3.5 cards I cut from bristol board. It's been a pain to post on fractured audiences between here, bluesky, and insta, each which feels like it's teetering on collapse, figuring out which is a platform I want to stay on and such. But it's also a thing where I want to post regularlarly again. So I'm gonna be posting a bunch to try and bring everything back in step with each other!
If you wanna see more of my Sissiphian march amongst the ruins of the internet to show people my pictures of UFOs and faeries please follow me!
Hi! I have revived my long-dormant tumblr account to tell you that I want to give you money for your darling Cthulhu Valentines. What’s a good amount to give you? If it works for you, I plan to print all of them to give to my love.
Please go ahead and do so! They are pay what you want(which includes free!), so pay what you are comfortable with! I made them as fun thing for people to enjoy!
As always if you like my stuff please consider signing up for my patreon at the dollar level!
Book one in a universe-spanning fantasy series featuring an autistic main character, gay "angels," and lots of mutated monsters.
Hello everyone! It's the last couple of days to back a project I'm part of! I got to illustrate the cover for a really cool portal fantasy by Monsters and Maidens! The book is called GRAFT, and it's book 1 in a series!
If the world has a sense of humor, twenty-year-old Ella knows it’s a cruel one. How else can she explain the perfect synergy of her autism and the strange body-altering ability she was born with? Dealing with sensory issues and trying to keep involuntarily formed claws and swollen muscles secret would’ve been difficult enough without one triggering the other.
When her home is invaded by violent monsters made from the flesh of creatures they infect and kill, Ella learns it’s not just Earth that has its issues. Forced to flee or get ripped apart, Ella gets separated from her family and ends up on a world inhabited by another species that’s been fighting — and usually losing — against these monsters for centuries. There’s an entire universe of interconnected worlds at risk of annihilation and assimilation, with Earth as the latest frontier.
Facing the possibility of being stuck on an unfamiliar alien world while flesh constructs threaten her home and loved ones, Ella must see if she can turn what she’s always viewed as a curse into a weapon — as well as find allies and learn to eat new foods, skills she absolutely has and definitely does not struggle with. At all. Ever.
Join Ella and her new friends(?) as they fight to stay one step ahead of the biggest threat their universe has ever faced! Throughout the series you'll visit alien worlds, watch from a safe-ish distance as magic and biotechnology attempt to mix, ponder new ways to stim, and witness gay people doing gay things.
Follow the link above and support the book! It's only 5$ for the ebook and 20$ for the ebook and paperback! If you're not able to spend that at the moment please reblog and spread the word!
