A lot of these come down to
Class and consumerism in a way
Like judging people for not "washing properly" because they don't use the products the person thinks you need to use to be "clean" like peeling yourself and putting scented products on yourself and so on
I'm not gonna lie. A lot of people just grab regular soap and scrub themselves and that's it. And this is scandalous to a lot of people. But you do not, in fact, come out of the shower stinking and disgusting because you don't peel with a fresh washcloth and 3 different products every time you shower
Also as temperatures rise and in general there comes a point where you can do everything in your power to be "clean" and smell nice and you're still going to sweat really hard and probably stink
And people who sweat the most are people who can't drive everywhere with AC on.
You're going to come across people who are sweaty as fuck and even stinky in public transport, and those people still more than likely bathed and put on deodorant. They simply can't not sweat or produce no odor even if they put deodorant EVERYWHERE
You're only "really clean" if you use a bunch of products daily and don't have to be outside in heat where you WILL sweat and become stinky
And people who sweat and stink are treated as active public nuisances who actively and consciously make the decision to be unclean and disturb others, instead of it most likely being outside their control
