Never been home for almost a year. My grandad passed away and I decided to take a break from work and go home. When extended families saw me, ang tanong nila agad sa 'kin may jowa ka na/asawa ka na? Tapos tatanungin ang edad ko, at kapag sinagot ko naman, sasabihin nila matanda na ako. Tae, bakit ganun? Lagi' t lagi silang may tanong. Tapos sabi ko naman sa kanila, kung gusto niyo akong mag-asawa/magkajowa, hanapan niyo ako, di ako mag-aasawa/magjojowa pagka hindi niyo ako hinanapan. Hahahaha.

I tried writing again for after how many years. Pero tangina, yung mga sinusulat ko ay hindi naman iyung gusto kong sulatin! Napagtanto ko nga, hindi na ako yung dating ako na nagsusulat-sulat. From aspiring to dreamer na lang, na feeling ko hangang pangarap na lang talaga ang pagsusulat ko. Tangina kasi, since nagkatrabaho ako, hindi na ko nakapagsulat, hindi na rin nakapagbasa-basa. Nitong nakaraang taon nga, unang hawak ko sa sariling pera mula sa sariling pagod ko, nakabili ako ng mahigit 20 na libro hanggang ngayon, pero ni isa roon wala pa akong nababasa.

Two Decades and a Year

I am almost in the middle of the life of men. However, the search for me has not been found yet. With me are the fregments of my past, a little guess of the future, and the burden of today. It has been two decades and a year since I started the search, to the lands and seas, on the top of the mountains, and in between heaven and earth – it is the emptiness of my world that makes me wonder, “Where am I?”
