Random headcanons for Mickey with piercings
I feel like Mickey and Ian see someone with a tongue piercing and both comment that it’s hot. And Mickey is like “maybe I’ll get one” and Ian is like “haha😅 good one” but then he sees Mickey’s serious and he’s like “really? 😳 REALLY? 🥵” and then suddenly it’s midnight in a West Side tattoo parlour and Mickey’s getting a tongue piercing.
And I love what @whaticameherefor added “Ian gets the chance to play nurse and makes sure Mickey has lots of ice cream, jello (obviously), and any soft food his heart desires while it’s healing up. The advised wait time is a test of both of their patience. Of course, this is just the tip of the iceberg. The guy piercing Mickey mentions how nipple piercings make them super sensitive and well, Ian and Mickey are both fans of a little nipple pinching. But Mickey brushes off the thought. Until Ian’s particularly enthusiastic about it one night, absolutely torturing poor Mickey’s nips and the insane orgasm he has is what finally convinces him. But I also like the idea that Mickey got his tongue pierced in Mexico. So, when he kisses Ian for the first time in prison, Ian is like 🤨🧐 “what’s that on your tongue?” And Mickey’s used to it by then, so he’d kinda forgotten Ian wouldn’t know about it. And he’s just all casual, like “yeah, got it pierced” and Ian is like 😳🤯🥵.
In terms of earrings, nose & lip piercings - canon Mickey probably wouldn’t get piercings until later seasons. But I absolutely love the AU idea where Terry dies or is locked up early on, so teenage Mickey has the freedom to experiment with different piercings. And maybe it’s a bit surprising to everyone? Like, he might get shit from his siblings but he doesn’t care because when he looks in the mirror, he likes what he sees.
Or if in later seasons, Mickey gets his ears pierced I can see him getting a stud but also a second piercing maybe just in one ear so he can try out different things.
The last photo is purely me thinking that wouldn’t it be great if Mickey confronted Terry with loads of piercings and painted nails? Wouldn’t that be such a powerful expression of freedom along with his confidence about being gay and being in love with Ian?
I think if Mickey did get nipple piercings, Ian would also suggest another type of piercing….😛😜 but Mickey would refuse because “you ain’t getting anything sharp near my dick, Gallagher”.
