Does Aywas do any kind of external advertising? The user online #s seem very low, and it might help. Back in the day I found it through an artist I liked, but the site just doesn’t seem to have the mass for that now.

Here’s a bunch of stuff to use in dragon bios or user profiles or wherever. The hanging banners can be made any length by repeating the middle bit. 

Pick and choose elements to suit your dragon: go for roses, cerdae, wings and tiny grotesque statues for a sweet romantic look, or go for roses, banners, swords and statues for a warrior. Or use everything at once, I’m not the boss of you. 

All based on original FR art, heavily edited and recoloured. The sets contain a little more than pictured here.

I have so many breedings that are currently assigned and OVER the deadline, most of which are painted. I understand Kaiyo just got back from vacation, but…is this an artist thing or is it a lazy thing?

Don’t blame Kaiyos. 

I know there’s two breedings out there that are my fault for being late, and it’s not Kaiyos’ fault at all. Shit irl has hit defcon 1 levels. I know that doesn’t excuse for being as late as I am but-- No, Kaiyos is on top of her shit.

But yeah, so here is a bunch of recent colorings, ranging from personal work to mdt and plbc. I have two plbcs that haven’t hatched yet but-- Ya. I recorded a speed paint of the first suune if anyone wants to see it?

I was accidentally assigned pmbc this week so look out for those babies in a couple days.

1 MDT and 2 personal colors. (And an edit :’D)

1. Floof Draggi - MDT - Theme and Colors:  Artist Choice, Blacks, Reds, Yellows and White

Had a lot of fun with this one. XD I was told to just have fun with it so I did. They really liked the wing pattern so kinda went crazy and continued the line pattern into the body. Over all had a lot of fun and I think one of my fastest completion times...

2. Conquest Horse - Personal

I decided I wanted to go for a more realistic horse, so just kinda did my thing. Originally, the markings were hard edged, but I let it sit for like a month and in that time learned how to make the softer markings look good so went back and redid them. Warm colors are my thing as evidenced here.... 

3.Skin Doge - Personal

And here :’D I had been holding onto my downtime potion since it was first issued by the site and well, I finally got around to using it. First time actually editing a pet in a long time and even then these are like really small edits. Just the blood and the necklace/earrings. But I’m proud of what I was able to do.

The colors tho, I didn’t realize until after were very reminiscent of a beagle, so like its my little mutated beagle now. Mm, something I struggled with on this was trying to figure out what sort of markings I should add because like??? Pretty swirls don’t go with horror. ;n;

Some recent MDT’s, personal colors and the first baby from my first plbc list!! Commentary Under Cut

1. Bunnytaur - MDT - Theme and Colors:  Artist Choice

Had a bit of fun with this one, Though I had a tough time trying to figure out what colors to make the bow and arrow set and the basket. In the end I’m as happy as I’ll ever be with it. 

2. Rainbow Reve - Personal - For Lair Partner

Namine had been given a really cute custom reve for christmas, made for her by Yoolee. This color of the base had been something I whipped up real quick for her in order for her to sell or keep so she could fund raise to get the original custom made. I colored it with just a mouse :’D

3. Masquerade Melo - MDT - Theme and Colors: Vintage Bride, Pallete Provided

 Fun Fact: I really don’t care for working with syncline psds. But I learned a bit from working on this color. I really love the swirly markings I did on this, has a  very elegant feel to it. I also love the gold tints I tossed into the purple hair. 

4 & 5. Necromancer Melo - MDT -Theme and Colors: Artist Choice

Idk, I had a lot of trouble with this one. ...I think I have a  lot of trouble when something has a shit ton of accessories. If anyone has any tips for that it’d be great. I also included a version where you could see the markings under everything :’D

6. Witchey Linorm - PLBC - Theme and Colors: Witch, Color Pallete Provided (with leniency)

My first site plbc!! I had a lot of fun working with this pet and the parent’s psds. The hair colors seem almost magical to me, idk. I love it and want to steal this bby myself.

7. Royal Linorm - MDT - Theme and Colors: Royal, Kingly, Bold. Blues golds and silvers.

Looking back on it, I probably would have tried to make the markings on the body darker in places. I also have a bad habit of making barely there lineart when I choose to color it, but I’ve been working on trying to break away from doing that as I know it’s not a lot of people’s cup of tea.The shading on this base was interesting to work with as it heavily affected the color of the pet, more so than I would have liked. (It’s why the markings are so light in places, then dark in others.)

8. Leopard Melo - Personal

And lastly we have something I’m super proud of. I spent a while just sitting around and drawing the spots for this. I love working on animal patterns, particularly leopard spots and zebra stripes. So if you want some they’re right up my alley 

And that’s the last of it. If anyone wants to get a color from me, you can ticket me for MDT or pen me for PLBC!!

I have two Aywas-related questions:

1. Does anybody know what the founders of the Oravas SCC species are?

The Oravas species being these squirrely SCCs:

I tried to find them and… I don’t think the ones I found (Nancy and Ned) are right, but I’m not sure, and I need them for Silver Potion purposes. @_@

honestly kinda tempted to just make my own founders to avoid this and other percentage-based headaches but given that they’re not actually my species that’s probably a bad idea and i don’t have the SCCs on hand anyway

2. Does anyone have a link to that script that searches your lair and lists all the duplicates? I could really use that right about now, but new laptop means I lost it in my bookmarks. :c

Any help on either one of these issues would be greatly appreciated!

The species was founded a loooong while ago by ToxicRainbowKisses(#2773). From digging through the species thread/memory from when that species was made, those two are definitely the founders. 

((I only remember as much due to sccs being an actual accomplishment back then. So when a new one came up, I was sure to check them out :’D))

MDT for  zombiepuppy (#6562) 

Theme: Artist’s Choice with a couple themes listed “ horror, colorful, natural patterns in interesting colors, cyberpunk, steampunk, raver designs, skeletons.“

Colors: Artist Choice with no orange

I ended up taking the natural patterns AND the skeletons and just running with it? I did try a version with tail bones on the tail but??? It didn’t turn out too well so I scrapped it and just went with full leopard spots. 

Color pallet wise I tried to stray out of my comfort zone, mostly as I couldn’t include orange. So I flipped it more towards the cold range of colors with a bit of red oops. Overall I’m really happy with how it turned out.

It is more hassle but I also find it a lot more fun to share with someone? Like, my lair partner is the one that convinced me to come back to Aywas after taking like, a year+ hiatus. I moved in with her, and just-- the motivation to discuss the events and such with her keeps me here, and I’m enjoying aywas that much more because of it.
