I haven’t posted here in a hot minute, mainly because I didn’t really see anything worth talking about. But looking through all the drama the community has been in since all the Chris Hansen stuff happened makes me kinda feel like the anti o community is dying out?

Like I remember when I first joined about a year ago, there was plenty of discussion and everyone was banding together to get receipts of Greg’s past behavior, but now that everyone is kinda on the same page about him, there doesn’t seem to be a lot of activity.

Which I guess could be interpreted as a good thing, like it means the anti os succeeded and now Onion’s actions are more well known, but everything just seems really desolate.

It’s very strange to me that just a few years ago, it was completely acceptable to support Onision. He somehow got a lot of praise for being ‘brutally honest.’ (Which we all know actually means he’s an asshole who has no regard for other people or their feelings.) Even when I used to watch his content, I knew he made me feel like shit. But there was a whole community around him who insisted that if you didn’t like him, you were just a pussy. While I hope those people got past it and don’t defend his actions anymore, I don’t think 13 year old me deserved to feel invalidated all because I dared disagree with someone who constantly trashed self harmers and people with eating disorders. 

I don’t know, these are all thoughts I’ve had for a bit. Obviously the main problem surrounding his toxic fanbase was Greg himself, and I like to think people only acted so terribly because he was very manipulative and never did anything to stop it. 

I don’t know if any other former fans felt this way as well. Maybe it was just me. It was the main reason I kept watching his content for so long.
