Maximus' face when he saw the NCR power armor, the little boy smiling up at him as he goes to save the Strip, it completely broke me

He remembers a time where they were the hope of the Mojave, and he realizes he can now be that hope

something that isn't being discussed enough about Maximus is how amazing it is that he keeps going from one big bad thing to another big bad thing without ever having time to fully grieve the dreams and people that are lost along the way. he remains genuinely kindhearted and optimistic, in spite of the cruelty and indifference that surrounds him in the wasteland and in the ranks of the BOS. and it's not just him simply being naive, he's seeing the best and the worst in the world/wasteland on a regular basis now... and he is just choosing to believe in the best. I think that makes him a really unique protagonist, especially when you consider in Fallout terms he is the Brotherhood of Steel character in this story.

anyway, yeah, people need to hype up both the character of Maximus and Aaron Moten's incredibly underrated performance. he gives the character an believably optimistic drive behind his actions while still clearly being haunted by the losses he's endured and revelations he's encountered. it's a really layered performance that doesn't get enough praise imo.

The fact that Walton Goggins and Ella Purnell are and have been getting a crazy amount of recognition from Prime's Fallout series but Aaron Moten gets scraps actually enrages me. Watching interviews and Aaron is just SO cute. Searched his name in the bar hoping for some edits... As one does... And saw no posts with Aaron by himself. No Maximus/Aaron fan content whatsoever. Everyone hates Maximus because they think he's a shitty character... But everyone LOVES the ghoul/Cooper Howard. We can ignore what Cooper Howard does wrong... But Maximus, who was, mind you, raised to maintain an us & them mentality after losing his family at an incredibly young age and has been beaten by his peers since he became apart of the BOS, cannot, under NO circumstances, be excused. Literally what is going on?? I mean I think I know but I'm asking my rhetorical question anyway because I'm really irritated

Aaron Moten is ADORABLE (and so is Maximus), and either everyone is blind or everyone is purposefully ignoring him for reasons that I think everyone knows deep in their hearts
