Jaeger pilots Polaroids: Team Striker Eureka
AU where Chuck still detonated the payload, but he comes back to Herc as an angel and nobody else can see him except Herc and Max, but that’s okay because now he can octopus all around Herc whenever and wherever and however he wants.
"The world is coming to an end. So where would you rather die?"
"He totally does though."
"Not helping Miss Becket..."

"Well my father always said, he said ‘if you have a shot, you take it.’ So let’s do this."
"M’alright, sir," Raleigh lowers his arms, flexing and shaking out the stiffness in his fingers. He’s okay, really. Just needs to focus. This simulation is to see how he’s faring after being shoved into the Drift with someone other than his designated pilot, so he’s gotta focus. Especially if he’s going to get back in Mocking Arrow with Mako anytime soon. "Been a little while since I’ve been in a conn-pod on my own — actual or simulation…" Eight years and nearly one month. He could add the days and hours and minutes, truly he could, but it’s probably not the best idea right now. "—-I’m just getting back into the swing of it, Marshall. I’m good. What do I need to do next?"
Hercules let his eyes shut and listened. The sounds of the LOCCENT washed away, the con vanished, Tendo's constant voice left him and all Herc could hear was Raleigh. He did sound alright, perhaps a bit shook up from what happened, but alright non the less.
"Alright." Herc said quietly, focused still. He too could have counted down to the hour when Raleigh'd last piloted alone, anyone in LOCCENT could have. "Just take it easy for me. Give yourself a pause if you need to. I want to make sure Tendo's got a good grasp on your heart rate and pulse." He waited till Tendo nodded to him. "Alright Raleigh, left hemisphere first. Give me a couple swings of the arms and legs."
