Baymax pauses until a slight wheeze is heard. Slowly the white vinyl began to deflate. His rotund body sagging and minimizing his size before inflating again.

       He watches in awe as the…whatever        it was approached his bed. It was nothing        short of incredible. In any normal situation        people would scream seeing such a big t-        hing approach them, but Tadashi felt calm        about the situation. After all, he looked har-        mless. Huggable even.

      “Third degree burns? Was there a fire?” His        face grows worried, unsure how to feel abo-        ut this sudden news. Were others inolved?        People he cared about? Where they ok? So        many thoughts running through his jumbled        mind. A part of him feels very thankful that t-        here were no mirrors around for him to see        his face. He probably looked horrible.

                     Confusion still spread across his face, he                      looks at the robot for a minute, head tilted.

                    “Those faces…on your…stomach,” he be-                      gan, straining slightly as he tried to sit up on                      the bed. “They looked familiar…who are you?”

Baymax hovers his hand over Tadashi's own knowing any true physical contact would give him pain, soon pulling the blanket over him and nudging softly at his pillow. He felt happy that Tadashi was wake. This would raise the mood of everybody.

[Yes. Do you not remember Tadashi? You jumped into a burning building to save a life. It exploded and many feared you were gone. I knew you were still here Tadashi. Luckily nobody was harmed.]

Baymax sensed his distress. Chemicals flowing around. The robot plopped himself onto a chair, or t the most attempted to. A squeak rang through the room mixing with the beeps of the machinery. A smiley face on his chest.

[There there.]

The question mad him curious. Does he not  remember his friends? Baymax leaned forward his gaze meeting Tadashi's. Optics zooming into his face. Curious. Very curious.  

[They're your friends. I am Baymax. You created me to treat the injured and sick.]

   ”———Wh—Where…?                                        Where am I?”

       Brown eyes open slowly, adjusting to the        bright lights of the room he was in. A hand        comes up to block it, but soon he realizes        his mistake. A strained cry of pain leaves h-        is lips, forcing his hand back into its place.

              Why was he in pain?

              Finally taking a look, he realizes his arms and               hands were in bandages. Odd.

                             ( What had happened? )

              Shifting a bit in place, he realizes that he was               sitting in a hospital bed. As he comes to, he               hears the faint beeping of a heart monitor. Tu-               rning to face it, he sees his vitals, along with the               IV he was connected to. And in a chair, noticing               he was finally awake was…

              someone…

                     he wasn’t quite sure who….

                   ”Hey…uh…you," Tadashi mumbles, still straining                     from the pain. “Can you uh…tell me where I am?”

Sensors activated at the sign of growing brain activities. The red latch of his charging station came undone as air was released filling his vinyl exterior  and giving him that familiar lovable and huggable shape.

Upon hearing the cries of pain, Baymax scrambles over to Tadashi's bedside. His footstep only squeaks as he crosses over the tile floor. His soft chest glowing with the faces of Tadashi's many friends. He sent a massive text.

{Text: All- Tadashi has awoken.}

Optics whirred as he looked over his creator. A quick scan to see if anything changed. Everything seemed to be good. With that done he sent a message to the doctor to properly assess the awakened young man. 

[Tadashi. You have suffered intense third degree burns to your skin. You have been hospitalized for quite sometime now.]

Eyes whirred as he focused on the young girl. He noticed traces of tears on her face yet no sign of any physical injuries. Has she gone through some personal problems and needed help? Waddling closer to her, he places a stout arm on the girl's shoulder.

[No sorry i am not a spirit. I am Baymax, a personal healthcare companion. You seem to be crying. Are you perhaps grieving? There there. Do you need a hug?]

He asked before scooping up the young girl into a warm embrace.

[I know things may seem hard right now, but you'll get through it. I believe in you.]
