⚠️WARNING ⚠️ PANIC ATTACKS, PAST ABUSE.
"Nat?" Wanda says. I turn to her with the girl in my arms. "Hey babe" I say softly. "Who is that girl you're holding" Wanda asks a little possessive. "I found her in a cell at the Hydra base. Wanda she's a little" I explain. Her face immediately softens. "Oh my" Wanda says surprised. "Yeah, I couldn't leave her there. She needs medical attention. She badly malnourished and dehydrated" I say softly. "Let's get her to Dr. Cho" Wanda says walking off. We get her checked out by Dr. Cho and she's out the entire time. After she's in the all clear, I take her to a room next to mine and Wanda's. I set her down in the bed and cover her up.
I ordered some stuff for her just in case. I leave the room and head to my own room to see Wanda sitting on the bed. "Can I give the girl some of your clothes" I ask. "Of course" Wanda says softly. I go to her drawer and pull out some shorts and a T-shirt. "um Nat?" Wanda asks. "Yes love" I ask sitting next to her. "what are we gonna do about her" she asks. "I have no idea. Tony is trying to locate any of her relatives" I say softly. "Okay, I hope we can find them" she says. "Me too" I says pulling her in for a kiss. She smiles at me and hugs me. "I love you Tasha" Wanda says. "I love you more" I respond.
I get up, grab the clothes, and head back to the room. When I open the door she is not on the bed. I rush inside and look under the bed and she isn't there either. I go into the bathroom and shes not there and I start panicking. Then Steve rushes in. "That girl is freaking out" Steve says.
I wake up out of breath and drenched in sweat. I look around and don't recognize where I am. The last I remember is Black Widow finding me. I need to get out of here. I open the door quietly and look out with just my head. No one in sight. I run out of the room and down the hall. I go in various empty rooms and I find the kitchen but I'm not looking where I'm going and run into a man. I instantly cower and curl up into a ball sobbing. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, please don't hurt me" I yell. "Hey it's okay, just breathe" he says putting his hand on me. "DON'T TOUCH ME! I'M SORRY! DON'T HURT ME!" I cry out. He immediately moves his hand and I start hyperventilating harshly. Just then someone else walks in and tells them to go get someone.
I follow Steve out to the kitchen to see the girl on the floor hyperventilating. I start to worry but I don't show it. "Hey little one, it's okay, you're safe. No need to panic. Can you breathe for me Hun" I ask sweetly. She just continues to cry and hyperventilate. She stands up but continues to panic. Clint comes back with Bruce. Bruce comes up behind her and sedates her. She starts to fall and I catch her before she hits the floor. I scoop her up and brush the hair out of her face. "shhh it's okay I'm here. Youre safe" I say holding her close. She falls asleep soon enough. I pick her up and carry her back to her room. Just then Wanda walks out of our room. "I heard noises, what's going on" she asks worried. "It's her, she woke up and ran out of the room. She accidentally ran into clint and she had a panic attack.
She sighs. "Is she okay" Wanda asks. "Yeah, Bruce sedated her, she's asleep now" I reply. She nods and looks at her. "You guys look cute together" she says in a monotone voice. I smile, she's jealous. "Baby, are you jealous " I ask smiling. She blushes and looks away" "I am most certainly not" she says annoyed. "you so are" I tease. She just huffs and crosses her arms. I smile and I lean in to kiss her cheek. "you're so cute baby" I say and she starts to smile. I walk in her room and lay her down on the bed again. I cover her up and I hide a camera in the room to keep an eye on her. I leave and shut the door behind me.
A couple hours later I get a notification from my phone from the camera. I start to get up and Wanda grabs my hand. "Where are you going" she asks. "The camera went off, I'm going to check on the her" I say. "okay" she says and continues to eat. I get up and head to the room. I slowly open the door and see her in the corner of the room. I walk in and sit a bit away from her. "Hey there" I say softly. "Hi" she says quietly. "Do you know who you are" I ask her since I notice she's not in her smaller headspace. She nods slowly "Y-Y/N" she says softly. "That's a pretty name, can you remember your last name" I continue. "It's Y/L/N" she replies.
"Okay, do you know where you are" I ask. "N-no, I don't" she says quietly. "Your at the Avengers compound" I explain. " I saved you from a Hydra base that we were taking down" I continue. She stays quiet. I reach and grab the clothes I borrowed from Wanda. "I have some clothes for you. They're my girlfriend's. You can take a shower too. Its right in there" I tell her. " Do you want to take a shower" I ask. "yes please" she replies quietly. "okay follow me" I say and I get up. She slowly stands and she follows me to the bathroom. I show her how to work it and when I turn around she flinches. "Oh sorry, Y/N. I didn't mean to " I say softly. "It's o-o Kay" she replies. I leave her to take a shower and go back to Wanda.
"How is she" she asks. "She's okay, she's not in her headspace. Shes taking a shower right now. But I found out her name" I tell her. "That's great, Nat" she says. "I'll have to help Bruce look" I say stilling back down.
