Did you immediately jumped into “Puss In Boots” or did you have to be convinced to take on this character? No, I didn’t have to be convinced, because I saw Shrek and I love Shrek. And the interesting decision made here was the voice that I was going to use. They showed me a lot of paintings of the character and I saw how little he was and they wanted me to do a little voice and to wear my accent, of course, but with a very little voice and I thought “no, no, no, let’s just provide him a thick voice” Something that goes against the body that he has. It’s almost like “Puss In Boots never looks at himself in the mirror, he doesn’t know actually how he is. He doesn’t know if he’s taller or whatever, but he thinks he’s very big” So, that was comedy!
