Hello! I am so excited to share with you my progress on my 3D animated shortfilm, Barry the Blobfish. I want to make a villain whose face isn't so complicated and angular. Maybe a villain can be beautiful but deceiving.

First run through of this simple action. Corrections and extended version to come. Unfortunately the file lost a lot of data from being transferred from school so I'll have to work in the lab to fix it. It’s a fun bit, though, and it speaks to me on so many levels.

Nature makes circles. Humans make squares. 

Everything made by nature grows radially. The most primitive biological forms of life grow from the center. Cells, plants, starfish, jellyfish, octopi. The Sun, the Earth and all its planets are spherical. Even the entire universe is made into a perfect circle. 

Humans make squares. Nothing that is perfectly straight and square was made by nature. Buildings, paper, technology, made for simple living. The only time we break our corners is to create something that is functional to nature. 

Humans thrive from order and simplicity. Nature thrives from perfection.
