i'm so fried right now and i know that on the first read it appears to be about physical death

but i made this thinking of immortality or otherwise another kind of living stagnation and the countless times we'll be "pruned" throughout our lives; how being alive is just a cycle of dying over and over and i know that's not a novel concept but ✋😭✋

i suppose the horror and cruelty is of the past existing simultaneously with the present, and the bereavement — the identity crisis — of knowing you'll never fit in your old skin, in that old world, again. the feeling of being left behind by time, but also how maybe you're the one leaving time behind, by virtue of growing older.

i will never be Flowdia, Seyfried's first love, again. i am Flowdia, matriarch of Armoroad. and Seyfried's physicality represents golden days long gone. the same could be said about Gutrune. how do we reconnect over the gorge that formed over the course of 100 years?

quick update post for myself & WB:

it turns out that several Philippine LGUs have mandated Tumblr be blocked on local ISPs. WB has no access at all, while I currently still have access through mobile data on a specific telecom provider. However, we’re not sure if access will be taken off any moment now, so this is just an explanation for any future absence. 🙇

the concept had been brewing in Marty's head for some time now, but any serious, tangible production only started on the 23rd of June when he decided to take the leap and create this piece to commemorate the game's 13th anniversary

i wanted to contribute something too, so i threw in these two moment boards for Marty and i to see the little guys in situations and cry about them

crunched this mf in a little less than 2 weeks but we managed to actually have this up on the day itself, YESSS

some early drafts :) as for the writing, Marty was also inspired by Korean film I Saw The Devil so. 😳. some big revenge film vibes.

[Marty taking over] WB would approach me with suggestions on the specific vehicle type & interior hehe, which helped hasten the process and allow them to finish the work within the two week period. they wanted to note that learning such a process back in college (despite how unhelpful most of the professors were during thesis creation) did help in streamlining the process, letting us know where to start and where to go next.
