Really, though! If I can get a job at the sanctuary, I won’t have anything pulling me to leave. It’ll keep me anchored for… a while, at the very least. -bites at his lip, obviously having not given up the debt he feels he owes to Martin for his last departure-

*nods slowly and looks at the ground* I'd just rather not set us up for another fight...

-presses close to him, glad that they’re on good terms again as he leans his head against Martin’s shoulder- I really am done. With all the traveling and leaving… for now, at least.

*hums softly and tilts his head, pulling Sander close and smiling*

-nuzzles against Martin’s cheek, a smile tugging at his lips and he curls his arms around the other male-

*grins and kisses the top of his head*

That’s super cool, Lexi… *just casually plays with Sander’s hair as he looks up at the bird*

-hums happily, closing his eyes as he leans slightly closer to him, because wow he really likes having his hair played with, and it just feels really nice-

For all I know, maybe. I came across him a few weeks ago. Well, I assume that it’s a him—I haven’t gotten close enough to determine any kind of sex or gender.

I’m not sure. -continues to look up at the bird, peering at the branches of the tree- I haven’t seen signs of any kind of nest yet.

*just listens attentively as he always does, pretending nothing in the world could be more interesting than what Sander is telling him right now* That’s really amazing…

-smiles at him, obviously pretty proud about his findings- It is…

-smiles as he watches the bird, standing in silence for a moment before doing what he always does, spewing off information about it- It’s rare to see them around here—I think it might have something to do with the rumors of Albus Dumbledore having at one point owned a phoenix. This one is nowhere near as old as that phoenix would be, unless it recently regenerated.

-points towards one of the tallest of the trees, directing his attention to a brightly colored bird sitting near the top- It’s a young phoenix.

*raises his eyebrows* Oh wow... it's beautiful...

*tilts his head and just follows him closely*

-cuts through clusters of trees and underbrush, leading him to a clearing surrounded by tall, looming trees-

*looks up and around curiously*

-returns the smile, leading him by the arm, making his way towards the forest-

*tilts his head and just follows him closely*

*laughs and shakes his head at him* At least I’ll always know I’m cooler than you.

-gives a light chuckle; he’s only like this when around Martin, not painfully awkward and senseless- If you say so.
