things i hope to see in best medicine season 2
• martin needing medical assistance. i feel like some kind of health scare would be interesting and since he’s really the only physician there the town would be very concerned for him and try to do everything they can. bonus points if he wakes up at the hospital and then he’s told that they all pitched in and did everything they could to make sure he was okay and he has to fight back tears at the realization that they do care about him (he knows they do but he’s still so grateful).
carols. a whole Christmas program. the town decorated beautifully. martin being more laid-back and enjoying the season for the first time in a long time (because of course it reminds him of rosemary and how he didn’t grow up close to his parents so it’s been hard to celebrate it). now he gets to enjoy it with sarah and maybe they go through memories about the season and the past. imagine an ending scene of them with Christmas sweaters on just going through an old photo album and talking about her. also season 1 was taking place around fall/early winter so it’ll be sad if we don’t get it this time around :(
• flashback scene of the car accident. i imagine it being a nightmare scene and martin wakes up in a cold sweat and that’s how one of the episode starts.
• also flashback scenes with him and eden in boston and how they fell out. they were together for a while, so it would be interesting to see how he became comfortable being in a long-term relationship and also them going through medical school. and if they worked together on any cases once they were professionals.
