Many audience members pointed out that Jack bears a striking resemblance to Christian Bale in the original (1992) film. Granted, Bale was 17 at the time of its release while Jack is still 13 at the time of the show’s closing. Bonus: Jeremy Jordan at the same age as Jack.

Newsie Theory: Nunzio is one of the first, outside of the newsies, to join the strike. He was sick of Pullitzer paying him such small amounts when he comes to his office to give him a shave, refuses to sit still, and pretends to know what being a barber is like. I also think that being in this meeting he could have given the newsies some valuable insight. Overall he didn’t like what Pullitzer had to say about the Newsies and joined the strike.
