"I've been here the whole time," he said in an almost patronizing fashion. "It seems your senses are not that adept at sensing people's presence. I won't judge you, but, y'know, the world is a dangerous place."

The student seemed friendly enough but there was something off, terribly terribly off but she couldn’t put her finger on what. Maybe it was the fact that she was still getting used to the different kinds of people? She’d just have to play this out and see if she can ever figure it out.
Loki smiled back within an instant “Why thank you, it’s fresh Blueberry Cobbler” she took a quick look at her clock and returned her a gaze to the youth “It’ll be done shortly if you’d like to have some”
She enjoyed when people would pop in to comment on her work, it wasn’t hard work but it was still something to be proud of for her.
He took her answer as permission to be let further in the room; standing at the entrance the entire time was rude after all. A few short steps were taken into the room and the sweet scent became stronger. It held a sort of nostalgic feel to it, reminding him of the times him, his mother, and his sister all ate together at the villa.
Sick nostalgia pulling forth memories of the path was not something he needed occurring right here and now. His mind wandered away from inward brooding, trying to focus on the situation ahead, no matter how trivial.
"I would love to have some, thank you," he said, maintaining his careful mask. "If you would, I also want to learn the recipe for your dish."
The blond takes notice. What—when did this guy get here? Was here there this entire time?
He’s half-tempted to ask, but doesn’t want to disturb anybody.
Lelouch senses someones eyes on him, and his eyes rise to focus on the peeper. His expression is neutral, but, looking carefully, one can see even the slightest bit of annoyance.
"Yes?"
He’s kind of lonely but doesn’t know who to try to talk to. (Or how to do that, really.) Mamura’ll probably just waste time in the library until nightfall.
It seems as though another person is nearby being equally lonely, reading a rather advanced book. Is he studying or simply passing time? Who knows, but he sure does have that kind of aura that looks down upon people.

It was a nice change of pace to get out of the infirmary once in a while.
Sure, she loved her job; it gave her a nice feeling to help others, though being surrounded by sterile objects, and bleached-white walls did make her workspace just a bit drab. Stepping out of her office, Skyla was met with blasting sunshine.
She pulled out her umbrella, not wanting to deal with irregular tanlines today.
As she walked around the campus, something suddenly occurred to her. She had no idea where she was going. Considering how close the Teachers’ Quarters were to the infirmary, she never actually… bothered to look around the place (which was kind of sad considering that she’d been working here for almost three months).
Skyla scanned the area— someone, anyone that could give her directions of some sort. She tried her luck, and approached a random person.
"Do you know your war around here? I was wondering if I could get directions…" she asked rather sheepishly.
Lelouch's mental map of the academy had almost been completed. He also had a map of the surrounding area ready on his phone with places of interest marked. It was satisfying to gain a more complete understanding of his situation, though an emptiness still buried itself in his heart: the lack of his sister.
He shook his head to take his mind off it. Nothing was going to happen to her, and he made sure of that.
A small sigh left his lips. He pushed himself off the tree he was leaning on and walked into the sun. It was a rather warm day, and it seemed to show. A woman who approached him carried an umbrella with her. He fleetingly remembered Shirley saying something about 'uneven tan lines.'
Putting aside that confusing matter, another one popped up. The woman, who he remembered was the nurse, was asking a student for directions around the school. The staff members seemed to be rather inept thus far.
"I do," he replied, "but I must ask: aren't you a member of the staff?"
Berry Interesting // Lelouch
Berry Cobbler was always better made fresh and with fresh fruit. Thankfully Loki always hand picked each parcel of fruit every morning from a near buy farmers market.
Equally fresh ingredients displayed readily. Taking 1/3 cups of sugar and a table spoon and a half of cornstarch the recently inducted teacher united the mixture with berries and grated lemon rind; whisking until smooth and well blended.
With delicate movements Loki spooned the mixture into a pan and hopped onto the next part. Utilizing the remaining 2/3rds cup of sugar the raven mixed it with cornmeal mix and flour then combined with butter and milk until well mixed and smooth. Gently spreading the topping over the berry mix Loki was pleased with herself and popped the pan into the over to bake.
Twenty minutes had passed and she had another twenty to twenty five left to go when the sweet smell of fresh berry cobbler began to aromate into the surrounding area. Her smile matched the sweet sent as she went about her lesson plans.
A student came into view and she perked up “Hello there, how may I help you?”
Lelouch found it necessary to find the classroom in which the culinary arts were taught. It was not because he was a part of the class or felt it necessary for him to join the class, but because he needed to complete his mental map of the school. The ingredients present in the class could also prove useful in a chase since he was unable to rely on his sub-par physical abilities.
The class was, unsurprisingly, easy to find. A sweet aroma was wafting from the entrance, leading him straight to the room with the teacher in it. The dish that was cooking, he imagined, could become a favorite of his younger sister, Nunnally, if he learned how to bake it.
"Hello. I was just wondering what you were making. It smells marvelous." His tone was friendly and there was a small smile on his face.

A horrid scent tickled her nose, so she spun quickly on her heels, bottle of scented odor eliminator in hand. Quickly, she sprayed the sweet concoction into the air, only to realize that she hadn’t been spraying the chemicals into air but rather someone’s eyes.
"Are you okay?" She asked, abandoning her usual calm state. Serena took a step towards the boy before being immediately repulsed by his odor. Armed once more, she sprayed him again, but this time she made sure to spray his body. "—now are you okay?”
When the chem lab exploded with the smell of sulfur due to a clumsy student's experiment gone wrong, Lelouch, who happened to be there to find something for a teacher, already wanted to get back to his dorm and bathe himself until his skin peeled off. However, now he had more chemicals clinging to his body, namely his eyes.
He used his sleeves to try and wipe away the painful particles. Soon, he could actually open his eyes again, but the stinging remained.
"I feel exuberant," he said in an even tone, irritation rising. "Now that you're done disinfecting me, can I go?
Code Geass - Lelouch Lamperouge
a... frilly situation || lelouch & ciel
The situation he currently faced was... not unlike any other. In fact, he was, unfortunately, prepared for it.
Yes, Lelouch Lamperouge, former royalty, top student (if he tried), and successful gambler was in a dress having tea with his 'senpai' who looked anything but an upperclassman, equally dressed in a dress. The dress fit him too well, obvious because it was a product of the eccentric student council president from his previous school. However, he felt discomfort wearing something so frilly and long.
He knew he could always get out of the situation using his geass, but he felt wasting it on this sort of instance was too much of a waste. "Remind me again why we're like this," he said with a defeated sigh.
A not so Accident After All // Kariya + ?
The weather was perfect, at least to his opinion for the teal haired teen wasn’t too picky when it came to weather but he did have his limits on the type of weather it was.
“No harm in a small ‘accidental’ prank, right?” he hummed to himself, snickering behind his hand as he went to the cafeteria and bought himself a nice custard pie. It didn’t take long until he was outside, merrily carrying the the pie with both hands.
Of course, the first person he saw walking in his direction caused a sly smirk to shadow his lips just as he ‘pretended’ to trip over his two feet, falling forward and feeling the weight of the pie leaving his hands as he stumbled to the ground with a ‘oof!’ and hearing the sound of the pie landing smack dab in the persons face, the pie tin clattering on the ground.
Hiding a snicker, he scrambled up and started sputtering apologies left and right, bowing profusely and panicking.
“I’m sorry! I’m sorry!”
To make it seem even more convincible, he sported a bright embarrassed blush spreading on his cheeks.
The new environment of the academy was somewhat refreshing. Though the facility was smaller than Ashford, it had the same sort of appeal: high class and carefree. He enjoyed scoping out the new place, memorizing the halls and escape routes if ever came a time that class became absolutely unbearable.
It seemed, however, the environment was going to become unbearable before classes even began. He could see events unfold before they even occurred. A person with a pie walking towards him. A trip. A pie in someone's face.
And that "someone" would be none other than Lelouch.
Tragically, his reaction time was too slow for the pie assailant, thus, despite thinking of several ways to avoid the situation, he was unable to avoid having pie hit his face.
Feeling absolutely mortified, he wiped the pie away from his face, leaving only a few stray stains, and stared at the person responsible. The boy's attempts at looking sorry were admirable, but Lelouch was able to see through the trickster's facade.
"I think we both know your insincerity, so it's best to stop you act and face the consequences." His tone was calm and level but held a threatening sting.
THIS IS SO SELF-INDULGENT. Suzaku in #11 for Katie and Lelouch in #4 for anonymous. I wasn’t going to post the Geass ones until I finished all the requests but these two kind of go together.

Real Life Quest (to find a queen for teh lolz) // Rena + Lelouch
"H-hey don’t keep trying, it’s dangerous," Lelouch tried to say, but his warning came a little too late. Rena slipped and fell, an expected result. He reacted quickly, or, as quickly as he could, to try and catch the falling girl. His goal was achieved, but he had acted as a cushion rather than actually trying to catch her.
So now they were on the floor, Rena laying on top of Lelouch, who did his best to try and hide the pain and discomfort caused by being a cushion. If she lifted her head a bit, they would be face to face. “Y-you should’ve waited a bit,” he said in a pained tone.
While he was sure he didn’t break any bones, Rena didn’t weigh that much, it didn’t help to dissipate the pain and pressure on him. He tried to remove the pressure, the other’s body. He placed his hands on her shoulders and gently tried to push her up so that her entire body weight wasn’t on him.
Though, once Rena was supported by her own arms, did their compromising nature of their position reveal itself. He wasn’t all that embarrassed about it, having experienced this kind of thing before. It brought an overwhelming sense of deja vu. “Ah, we should get our work done.”
Well, she’s been in situations like this before, but Lelouch was more of a stranger than anything. And slowly she rose with the slight pressure applied from his own hands. She feels horribly guilty about all of this. Unsure if she should move, what should she say anyway?
"O-Oh! I’m so sorry!" She sat up straight rather than actually attempting to roll off of him. For the most part she had to make sure that she didn’t completely crush him underneath her to begin with. But Rena was a particularly skinny girl- so there was no insanely worrisome issue about falling on top of him.
Pressing her small little palms on his chest to make sure that he could still feel something as she sat up, she tried to nudge him- as if he had been knocked out. Although, she could’ve just noticed that his eyes were open.
But the most panic came when the door to the classroom was thrown open. Some student announcing to the teacher that he was here to make up a test and-…. Well, there they were. And sure enough Rena averted her gaze. The compromising and suggestive position already would’ve gotten the two of them in trouble, but goodness gracious this was already too much. She swallowed hard and heard the other stumble over words before quickly darting away.
Slowly but surely Rena slipped off of Lelouch and slinked into a corner of the room where she could simply collect herself from this sudden embarrassment. Perhaps she shouldn’t have let the determination of getting the job done rule over this.
The sudden intrusion of the student was an unexpected occurrence, and a rather unwelcome one as well. Though Lelouch didn't think anything of the situation with him and Rena alone, detrimental rumors were something he wished to avoid. He also didn't want Rena to feel uncomfortable about the entire thing because such would lead to undesirable results as well. He couldn't have his relationship with in-game partner deteriorate.
It seemed, however, the damage was done as he saw Rena rush into the corner, redness visible on her face. Lelouch lifted himself up into a sitting position, a tiny gasp of pain escaping his mouth as he moved his possibly bruised upper body. He made a mental note to exercise and strengthen himself so these kinds of aches could be avoided all together.
His gaze fixed onto the embarrassed girl, and he felt an ounce of pity. Standing up, he first climbed onto the latter and took down the things that needed to be removed. Next, he went over to Rena in the corner. He decided touching her shoulder to get her attention wouldn't be the best course of action.
"Everything is all done now. Let's go home, alright?"
fresh starts || OPEN
"It’s different, this time…" Kaworu mumbled to himself, finding the familiarity of the city slightly faded this time around. He breathed in deeply. No- even the scent was somehow different from the one he had never failed to recognized. Kaworu walked the streets as if he had been living there for ages, when in reality he had only just moved in. He already knew exactly where his apartment was (which was where he was headed) when strange thing after strange thing kept occurring.The pale boy frowned as though he were attempting to undo a complicated knot within long, thin rope. The smell, the atmosphere- the differences were small but still plainly visible to him, as if he were only noticing the many creases hidden inside a leather couch for the first time when in fact they had been there for quite some time.
Eager, enthusiastic. That is how Kaworu felt about this sudden change of pace. Rarely did things ever change in his world and rarely did he feel his chest tighten as anticipation rose in his chest like bubbles in a carbonated drink- but new beginnings never failed to zest up his more than usually grey life and send a healthy dose of ambition his way. No matter how many fresh starts Kaworu went through, they never ceased to entice and motivate him to move forward and search for the one thing that mattered to him- that one thing…
-was it really already 6:00PM?
But my train was supposed to come…half an hour ago, Kaworu sighed. So much for new beginnings- looks like I’ve missed my first ride home, Kaworu thought to himself as he looked around the area as if the air would provide him with an answer to his problems.On a whim, Kaworu tapped the shoulder of the first person he saw.
"Excuse me," he said, perhaps with a bit of unintended charm, "do you know what time the next train comes at? I’ve seemed to have missed the first one."
Ever present was the lingering feeling of crushing idleness as each day passed on without event. The buildings remained the same, the routes, the people, the newspapers, the streets, the entire city was in a static state. The status quo remained stubbornly in place, easily having dispelled the chaos that erupted last week within a matter of a day.
It was suffocating.
When Lelouch wasn't in his apartment playing the games to which he recently took an avid interest, he ventured out into the city to the casino. Though he was a few months underaged, he was able to gain access through a forged ID. Employees who manned the entrance half-assed their work, not bothering to check the validity of any ID unless the person in question looked young. And, thankfully, Lelouch was able to keep up appearances in that respect.
And, after he played his fair share of chess games, he returned home at sunset. However, today's particular match was with a stubborn sore loser who refused to admit they lost to a high schooler. It took an extra while to sort everything out, and, by then, he knew he wouldn't be able to take his usual train home.
As he walked near the station, he was contacted by a stranger inquiring about the trains. He put on a small friendly smile, and directed his gaze at the stranger.
"The next one comes in about 45 minutes unfortunately. The trains here aren't the most efficient."
Dead of Night ♦ martyrofhatred
The cool evening breeze blew through Junko’s blonde hair, causing her to reach her hand up and move a few strands from her face. It wasn’t quite pitch black outside, though it soon would be. Her blue orbs shifted up towards the stars—something she hadn’t seen in awhile. Though it was lacking in despair, the sight in front of her gave her another type of feeling. Was it hope? The second that thought came into her head she felt disgusted with herself.
Her inner thoughts came to a halt as she felt a presence. She was surprised that they were able to remain unknown for as long as they did. She was the only one standing around outside at this hour as far as she knew. It may have been the fact that she was preoccupied with her thoughts, but it didn’t matter.
"Oi… I know you’re there." She spoke loudly enough for them to hear, keeping her back turned for a moment before spinning around, bringing a hand to her face.
"How long were you planning on standing there?"
Whenever a sense of melancholy overtook him, Lelouch developed a habit of taking a walk outside. He read somewhere fresh air benefited the mind, but doubts popped into his head when these outings took place at night. The light posts illuminated only parts of the darkness, not clearly cutting through the obscurity of the night. At least, he mused, the minimal light pollution made the stars more visible.
He was snapped from his thoughts by a voice calling out his presence. The female in front of him acted strangely, making exaggerated motions. Her suspicion was made clear from her words and her hard tone. He tried to put on a friendly face, wanting to avoid conflict when visibility was less than optimal.
"S-sorry, I didn't realize I was intruding on your space," he said, trying to make his tone as nonabrasive as he could. From the sides of his vision, he searched for possible escape routes or defense mechanisms if the situation took a turn for the worse.
