I just need someone to rant to about this.
I went and saw Back to the Future in concert tonight with my dad. (For those of you who donāt know what that is, itās basically where you watch the movie in a concert hall. In this case, the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall in Portland while a live orchestra plays the score.) I saw Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince in concert a few years ago and loved it. Ever since then, itās been a dream of mine to see my favorite movie, Back to the Future, performed this way. So when I saw they were doing it in Portland, I immediately bought tickets for my dad and me. Anyways, we went tonight and honestly, the whole thing kind of pissed me off. First of all, the conductor of the orchestra said people were welcome to clap during the movie. So⦠people clapped at EVERYTHING. To the point where they clapped over some of the best parts of the score, and you couldnāt even hear it. Like, why are you even here if youāre going to clap over the music? It was so frustrating. At any regular BTTF screening, I have absolutely no problem with people clapping. But this was a concert, we were there to hear the orchestra. And you canāt hear it if youāre clapping over it. On top of that, we had these drunk jerks sitting behind us who were laughing and talking the entire time. It was SO ANNOYING. During intermission, my dad overheard them telling someone they had never seen the movie before, they were just bored, happened to be in the area, and bought their tickets at the door. So they literally came in, got drunk, and ruined the experience for everyone around them. It was just so frustrating, I had to rant. I actually took some audio recordings and clipped all the times the drunk lady laughed. Iāll add it if you want to hear how absolutely rude she was. Like, Iām glad more people are getting exposed to Back to the Future, but thereās no need to be that annoying.
Sheās lowkey giving Voldemort laughing in some of these ššš
Fuck everyone who went to bttf fan night at universal. What do YALL EVEN KNOW about back to the future ???
Went to BTTF the musical with my family today!
Somebody on Instagram pointed this out and now I canāt unsee it. Do you notice how the hood of the DeLorean in not straight on? Almost like itās turning? I literally canāt unsee it š it looks so goofy
Is somebody gonna match my freak (being obsessed with Back to the Future)
I graduated!!
*Me to my teacher*: āBack to the Future is the best movie ever itās so amazing!ā
My Teacher: āI agree itās a very good movie. What exactly do you like about it?
Me: *silence*
Me: āUmm. The soundtrack is really good.ā
The boy Iāve been talking to has not seen Back to the Future. Instant red flag. Also embarrassing for him.
Update: Heās been my Boyfriend for the past 6 months. Heās seen all the movies 3+ times. (He even went to the movie theater to see the first one with me.) and 3D printed me a Back to the Future clock. We are in love š„°
I just wanted to say rip to the people who died before 1985 because they literally missed out on the greatest piece of cinematic history that is Back to the Future ššš
They bringing BTTF back to theaters on October 21st bitchesss
I asked a group of 6th grade girls the other day if they had seen Back to the Future. They all replied yes, and one of them even said, āObviouslyā¦We donāt live under a rock.ā In the most annoyed tone ever š
I need to write a 6-9 page argumentative essay for my Writing 122 class and I want to do it on Back to the Future. Any ideas for what I could argue?

Update: We are having a movie date tomorrow :)
Anytime a teenage boy rides a skateboard I always think of Marty Mcfly. Like literally today this boy I work with came in to work with his skateboard. I asked him if he skateboarded to work, and when he said yeah I replied, āThatās so Marty Mcfly vibes.ā He then gave me the most confused look ever, so I said, āYou know⦠like in Back to The Future, when Marty skateboards to school?ā And he said āYeah, I guess..?ā And walked away. š
