AVENGERS ASSEMBLE

This is just a small group of friends RPing together for fun. Thanks for taking a peek and seeing what we do. :) We always welcome outside interactions, chats and asks and whatever else you want to send our way. There is no officialness involved but Cap's Player made this page out of pure OCD desires. We also love RP and if you want us to be involved in a plot just write us ok? Communication is awesome! RPing with us

"Hi, in your FAQ it says if we want to RP with you guys we "just start chatting with our characters ICly in a light tumbler format", forgive my noob-ness but what is ICly in a light Tumblr format?"

No worries; it’s kind of hard to explain concisely.  Basically, we mean creating an account and then participating in our conversations (like this one, for instance), but not trying to jump right into heavy prose and plot.  I know that I, personally (frostblooded) will NOT write prose unless it’s planned ahead of time, but I’m happy to write banter/Internet dialogue with the whole universe (Loki is less happy about it, but no one cares what he thinks).  Does that make sense?

A showdown, a throwdown (part 1)

Loki, having spelled Jane into a deep sleep turns his attentions on a sleeping Darcy. 

He sends Thor a message.  Worry and panic ensue.

Steve refuses to let him go alone and after some arguing Thor agrees.

Steve sends Tony a text, requesting Iron Man's back up.

Loki is ready and waiting for them in the desert on the outskirts of town.  Darcy is with him, dazed and unaware of her surroundings while encased in a glowing green shield of magical energy.

Thor leaps out to meet his brother, Steve not far behind him.  But the talk turns violent in a flash and Loki raises his spear, Gungnir, to strike.

Tony, ever a fan of dramatic entrances, flies in and strikes Loki off balance, saving Thor.  But the victory is short lived, Loki wields Odin's power and he strikes without mercy. 

Steve rises to Loki's challenge, telling a reluctant Thor to stay back. Tony joins the fray again, shooting the magic shield encasing Darcy. 

Loki has had quite enough so he lifts his spear and calls down the Destroyer, wicked metal guardian of Asgard.  Steve attempts to keep the Destroyer busy.  

A final shot from Tony dissolves Darcy's prison.

Loki puts Iron Man down with one final shot then turns to his brother and gets to the heart of the matter... 

Nearby Captain America falls beneath the flame and blows of the Destroyer. Grabbing Darcy, Loki shoves her close to a freshly open portal to Jotunheim threatening to finish her as well.  Thor begs his brother to stop.

Thor offers himself up in Darcy's place, wanting no one else to suffer because of him.

Loki, furious, takes his offer.

Thor is pushed to the ground and he dies staring into the night sky.  Victorious, Loki laughs even through his tears.

Sweet dreams are made of this; who am I to disagree?

OK SO.

Basically ever since Loki finished up pretending to be his brother, he's been engaging in dream-related shenanigans re: Darcy and Jane.  For Darcy, he has created nightmares that increase in detail and intensity as time passes, to the point that the poor girl can barely sleep at all.

However, he maintains his innocent veneer throughout, putting himself on alleged good behavior and trying to show concern for Darcy's situation.

He offers to help her several times, much to Thor and Dr. Selvig's dismay.

Offscreen, the dreams only worsen, until Darcy finally relents.

Thor and Selvig are there to witness the 'healing', as Loki pays a visit to Midgard and swiftly deals with the problem.  Darcy references this scene here; essentially, Loki undid the problem that he himself created.  While Darcy will now enjoy peaceful sleep, Loki has also placed a certain dormant compulsion in her subconscious, to be activated at his leisure.

Jane has also been dealing with some crazy dream shenanigans; the dreams Loki crafts for her are haunting, unsettled visions, and they've been interfering with her sleep schedule and general ability to function (this loss of faculty is why she didn't really interact or engage during the movie night, despite being there along with Loki, Thor & Erik).

For a few weeks, she has this recurring and highly unsettling dream.

Tonight, the dream continues.

Jane dreams her last dream.  She is currently locked in a sleeping state.  WHAT NOW?  What.  Now.

No one is aware of the specifics as regards Jane's situation, as she has not spoken of it; she is so stressed by the myriad issues in her life (continued lack of research, Thor's penchant for punching anything that looks at him funny) that she's not even giving it much thought herself.

As to the reasoning behind this dream chicanery?

Well ... it's all just ... part of the plan <3

Thor puts some heavy handed moves on Jane...

...Then he gets 'the talk'...among other things.

Thor invites Jane to his bedroom. For a 'talk'.  Jane is skeptical.

Steve suggest that Thor  should get some help learning how to court women.  Just please don't ask Tony or Namor.  Thor takes umbrage to the suggestion he might seek out Namor for help.

Jane says no and explains that a condom will be necessary if it ever happens.  Thor has no idea what that is.

Jane explains.  All hell hilarity breaks loose.  

Thor thinks potions or enchantments are a better idea. 

Jane says no and Thor decides he's not putting anything over his hammer.

Papa Bear Selvig Doctor Selvig is not impressed with this conversation.

Jane is stunned.  Natasha laughs comforts her laughs.

 Other conversations that happen:

Namor says his charms work perfectly well in Midgard.  Thor says he will crush Namor the Sea Fairy with his bare hands.

Steve thinks Namor should respect the brocode.

Namor 'brings it' as they say. And Loki is amused.

Steve is still trying to calm things down and of course, Thor is having none of it.

Tony is amused and totally unhelpful.  Mary Jane worries about Thor and his hammer.  No, not that hammer.

Namor isn't done yet.  Jane worries...then Namor apologizes.

Jane thanks him.  Then tries to calm Thor.  

Namor & Thor keep going.  

Steve says to cut it out.

Meanwhile Lady Frigga, who was already hearing wedding bells, offers some sage advice to both Thor and Loki with dubious results.  She also says Steve should mind his own business.

Loki seethes.

Green Goblin vs. Iron Man....GO!

Now thats an attention getter.

The Green Goblin crashes the Colbert Report and Iron Man steps in to put a halt to the impromptu 'interview.'  S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Maria Hill and others join in as the battle continued.

Steve's 4th of July Party

Steve is grilling out for his friends in Dr. Selvig's backyard

Loki doesn't appreciate being left out so he decides to make the party more 'fun'

Bucky and Natasha arrive and proceed to do some drinking and cuddling

Thor and Jane make a connection and Thor makes a confession

Namor arrives and greets Steve

Tony arrives with an entourage of professional ladies, caterers, a band and the ego to go with it.  Please save us Pepper.

Thor runs into Bucky and Natasha and Steve shows up to say hi.

Namor decides that he wants to assert his alpha-maleness and introduce himself to Jane.

Tony runs into Thor at the bar.

Everything is still in progress and eventually all threads will be sorted and put into an easily readable format.
