I was thinking about Little Butcher Simon a lot and then I thought about how Little Simon is basically the age group Grace would teach and now I want a phm/il crossover where instead of Simon being plucked from the sub, he’s plucked from the Rapture.

Grace gets to be a teacher again in the Hail Mary to the most fucked up little space child he’s ever seen.

something ive realized about bloodymary: in order for it to be plausible, simon would have to have come from a different timeline or universe. theres absolutely no way for the two of them to have come from the same timeline/universe. because simon comes from a universe that already HAS gone dark, is empty and silent and vastly terrifying, while graces universe is very much still alive and thriving. so clearly, there are going to have to be discrepancies between the two, and coincidences that have been caused by the differences between the two worlds.

what im saying is markiplier 100% exists in ryland graces world, its just that the game iron lung, and therefore the movie, dont exist, so when grace sees simon for the first time, he 100% has a moment of "did markiplier get his wish to go into space??????"

Personally, I'm a big fan of the theory Simon had that the ships disappeared, not the stars. So in this particular theoretical, in order for their universes to exist somewhat congruently, there would have been humans living on Mars and in space crafts at some point in Ryland's universe. And a lot of people like to put Mark Watney who lived on Mars for a not insignificant amount of time in the PHM universe, so it wouldn't be that out there. Especially considering it would be 13 years of Grace travelling (while he experiences only 4). So theoretically the Great Rapture could have occured around the same time as the Hail Mary took off and the timeline would still be feasible.

true, but then, thatd mean that markiplier wouldnt be able to also exist, because hed be simon, not mark. unless markiplier has a twin named simon, but even then, he wouldnt have gained popularity until after grace was shot into space. i do get what youre saying, and im not saying it doesnt make sense, but for the hypothetical im trying to make here, that mark exists in graces universe and simon is basically just mark but iron lunged, it doesnt fit. really the whole point of the explanation i gave was for the specific silly hypothetical. So, this chapter was not fully written by me. Obviously, the drawings are mine, and ive changed small things here and there, but this scene was actually written by @anonymousinternet9 ! It was submitted in my ask box back in May, and I followed up in dms to see if it was alright if I could use it. They were very nice and said it was totally fine if I used it as long as I gave credit. So, here we are!

Please go over to their blog and give them all the attention, they're so fucking cool and I'm so ecstatic that I was able to make this with them.

Actually, I think the Hail Mary should rescue Simon and then absolutely nothing romantic or sexual happens. Grace and Rocky acquire a hitchhiker in distress, and give him a ride to somewhere safer in the spirit of intergalactic goodwill. They become friends. That’s all. There is a brief misunderstanding where Grace and Simon both think the other is coming on to them, and panic about how to politely turn them down because they could not be less interested. No thank you.

Then they realize the misunderstanding, everyone heaves a sigh of relief than there are no romantic or horny feelings on this ship, and they all go play Scrabble (Rocky kicks their asses.)
