Breaking Through

One by one ...

thoughts overcome

Such lightly padded transgressions

Tip toed through the barrier

And guided its mind another way.

Springing hearts leaping up through the bitter rot

Of what the past had made

Condensed in kisses of new promises

Nothing that it hadn’t been fond of

Somehow it was something that had been completely adored, at least once before

...But being realized in its futile attempts

Through hands glazing across the plains -which gave way at the seams -

It felt light.....lost, and a little obscene.

Delicately brushing against bruises long forgotten - rust
