Strong women in the Bible:
Hannah (read about her in 1 Samuel 1). She was faithful and dedicated to God, despite waiting through seasons of loss and heartbreak. Also the mother of Samuel, who grew up to be one of the most influential dudes in the bible. Esther (read about her in the book of Esther). She became queen. She also saved the Jewish people from being killed by finding favor with the king and fighting for their right to live. Mary of Nazareth (read about her in the Gospels- Matthew, Mark, Luke, & John) was chosen by God to give birth to JesusâSavior of the world. Ruth (read about her in the book of Ruth). Ruth took care of other people with a humble heart, this includes her not-so-nice mother-in-law Naomi. She was a hard worker to provide for her family. She was also chosen by God to be a part of the lineage of Christ. Deborah (read about her in Judges). She helped lead the Israelites into battle, and played an important role in their victory. You read that right, she helped LEAD the Israelites into battle.
The Bible is full of examples of strong women who trusted in God, whom He used to make a powerful impact in the world. I love it so much. May we continue to seek Him, sisters. Heâs got great plans for each one us! He loves you so much!
âBut God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.â
â Romans 5:8 (ESV)
âYou are saved - seek to be like your Savior.â
â Charles Spurgeon
God does not want you to only learn about Him, He desires a lifelong relationship with you. Not the kind of relationship where you only talk when you have the time, or when life is going great, or even when life is going awful. He wants the kind of relationship where you can cry and spill out your heart to Him for hours in the middle of the night. He wants the kind of relationship where when youâve completely messed up, you still find Him to be a safe and secure home for you to rest. He wants the kind of relationship where you experience lifeâs most joyous moments together. He desires to have an intimate, honest, and real relationship with you.
âAlways leave people better than you found them. Hug the hurting. Kiss the broken. Befriend the lost. Love the lonely. Just like Jesus.â
â
I am so in love with Jesus, my heart is on fire. I cant explain His love
You will never succeed in life if you try to hide your sins. Confess them and give them up; then God will show mercy to you. (Proverbs 28:13)
You shall weep no more. He will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry. As soon as he hears it, he answers you.
Isaiah 30:19
For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.
2 Corinthians 5:21
Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheepâs clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Matthew 7:15 (KJV)
âFather, I am seeking: I am hesitant and uncertain, but will you, O God, watch over each step of mine and guide me.â
â St. Augustine
I take medication for mental illness and I will not be ashamed.
âWeâre all mad hereâ âď¸ This is my reminder, that even though living with mental illness is a daily struggle, Iâm not alone, and neither are you. And if this expression is offensive to you, I apologize, but it means a lot to me đ
PSA: Stop guilting people for struggling. Stop saying âlife is only as good as your mindset,â and âYou can choose what thoughts control your life.â People with BPD, Depression, Anxiety, and countless other mental illnesses do not have the luxury of picking and choosing which negative / positive emotions affect them on a day to day basis. Mental illness is not the narrow idea you have of it in your head, and yoga wonât fix it.
