Frankly, I think Sydney and Jedidiah need to get so much worse before they get better. They need to split up for a brief period and give each other some space (after the looming threat of Adam has been dealt with). Whether the two boys go back to each other afterwards is something they need to sort out.

ok yes but i dont think these guys are physically capable of a chill amicable breakup and just staying friends and ESPECIALLY not separating.i think it would be less like a breakup and more like an amputation for them. theyre so disgustingly codependent and sydney is more or less entirely dependent on jedidiah and lucille for his physical needs. in an ideal world they would be able to give each other space and work on themselves but neither of them are emotionally mature or chill enough for that

This is not misgendering between them. This is just what Sydney likes in the their partnership, and I did consider trying to covertly place that information in before this scene, but none of it flowed right with the same "this is natural" vibe. I don't like lecturing audiences either by trying to spoonfeed things they may not understand. But I am aware that this may be sensitive. This is genderplay of calling a boy a girl, not actually calling him a girl in the misgendering sense, akin to calling a butch woman "sir."

Lotsa trans (and cis) people play around like this in their partnerships and I want to accurately portray it. It's shrimply my #truth. Please do not get angry with hammers.
