First Day || Open
Masaru makes his way to the academy, bag thrown over one shoulder and banging against his hip. He has a bright smile on his face and examining everything in sight. He has never see a place so big before; even just the gazebo was bigger than his whole house back home. He seemed to have stumbled into the courtyard which he doesn't mind at all, the whole place intriguing him. Masaru wants to explore his new home and maybe meet some new people.

❈Shadows of the Past:
Masaru’s mom died when he was born and his father killed himself soon after. He and his older brother, Katsu, were raised by the elderly lady next door until they were older. She died from sickness when he turned 13. His brother and him lived on the streets, stealing what they could and bargaining the rest until his Katsu was drafted. Masaru was only 16 and unlike his brother, wasn’t a bender. His brother was sent to war and he used the pension given to him to afford a small hut near where he grew up. It’s been two years and his brother still hasn’t returned. Masaru wants to join the academy to learn as much as he could and to find his brother.
❈The Inner Soul:
Masaru plays the naive bubbly boy to hide the fact that he had a hard childhood. He is a prankster and a goofball, using his charms to easily make friends. Underneath his loving persona it actually takes him a long time to trust someone and although friends with everyone, he isnt close to anyone. He is wise and mature but keeps it hidden most of the time.
