MASH // where have all the flowers gone?
I think MASH hits especially hard when you’re in a situation where you feel trapped by duty and responsibilities towards people who need you + you’re so so tired and on the brink of burnout, to the point where your anger about your situation is the only thing that keeps you upright + you’re actively repressing your feelings because you’re a strangely homoerotic relationship with your married “straight” coworker
just thinking about how great a beejhawk edit to olivia rodrigo’s what’s wrong with me would be.
“i think you’re what’s wrong with me” ?? helloo deeply repressed crush on your best friend??

i can't hide from you like i hide from myself
In reference to this. Can't find the post of the person who thought of the credit change so I have to believe it will fall into the right hands.
Feel free to use.
hard to watch stuff that’s not mash. what do u mean there’s no hawkeye in this.
Yes m*a*s*h is gay. But it is also extremely nuanced in its presentation of masculinity and sexuality and that’s part of what makes it gay. That and whatever the fuck Hawkeye and BJ have goin on
inaugural post
an underappreciated genre of hawkeye is when an activity requires no hawkeye and he's kind of just lurking and pissing everyone off
I think I've figured it out. During the Trapper and Henry years, no one was pretending to be nice (except for Frank, that one time "it's nice to be nice to the nice"). No one is actually claiming to be all that good of a person. They may be better surgeons or better than that guy, but they're not *nice*. But BJ thinks he's nice. He thinks he's a good guy. A good husband, a good doctor, a good person. And people (the characters) buy into it because they want to; they want the nice guy unsullied by this absurd war. And BJ doesn't handle it well whenever he might have to admit he's not nice and maybe never was. Because what good is nice in a war zone?
my mother is like not super huge on gay people by any means but she is so close to being a hunnihawk shipper. she said they're always touching because bj is hawkeye's "spouse" and hawkeye looks so sad when margaret and bj dance on bj's anniversary because he wanted to be the one to dance with bj . and like yeah obviously but how do YOU know that
