When it came to any type of silly item, Danielle had to try it on. Laughing softly to herself, she tried on a pair of goofy glasses and looked over at the nearest person. “Excuse me, I need your honest opinion. If I buy these and never take them off, what would you think of me?”
“Adorable either way. What can I say? Blondes do have more fun.”
After a long day, Robyn was at the local supermarket, debating what bottle of wine went better with the left over quesadillas her mom had brought her the night before. She was broke out of her thoughts at the sound of some coughing. “Shit. Sorry,” Robyn said quickly as she tried to maneuver her cart and herself out of the way. “I keep forgetting that I’m not the only one in the super market who likes to stand in the liquor aisle, debating things to themselves,” She tried to joke.
“No worries, babe. I was just looking at cute your thinking face was.” Mason winked, smirking at the pretty brunette.
“I just saw this old lady hit on some random guy on the street,” Jacqui began, trying not to laugh. “I kid you not, this woman was probably at least eighty and she just started catcalling at this guy and yelled that he had a nice ass, I just can’t believe it.”
“Well, if the booty is fine, it’s all fair good.” Mason said, smirking. “I would think you would believe it, considering your fine body.”
“No don’teatthatdon’teatthatdon’teatthat!!!” But his warning was too late as they took a bite of the pepper. “Oh no… that’s a ghost pepper,” Vince said to his taste-tester, where he was making up a spicy Southwestern dish for them to try. “It’s only… the hottest pepper in existence!” He quickly poured a glass of milk and put it in front of them.
“FUCK!” Vince sputtered out, spitting out the pepper and grabbing the glass of milk, downing it. “Fuck, fuck, fuck! Why the hell didn’t you say something?!”
“You’ve met Ally, huh? Well, I bet she loved your charm as much as I do now. You’re very sweet for saying all of this.” Layne smiled kindly at the man before her. Shaking her head, she shrugged her arms a bit with a warm smile on her face. “No, I don’t. And no, I won’t smoke a joint with you. The reason why is because i’m a single mother who doesn’t need to be high or smelling like tobacco when I see her soon.”
“I sure did. She’s a piece of work.” Mason admitted, chuckling to him as he lit his cigarette. “Aw, you got a little girl? That’s so sweet. Is she as adorable as you?” He asked, taking a swig of his beer. “Single mother? Aww. No baby daddy?”
“I thought you were the Head Honcho, dude. What gives?” Vince smirked, momentarily following Mason’s gaze to the girls at the bar. “You? Going to a meeting?” He joked again. “Yeah, you know, just won that PowerBall lottery and all, didn’t you hear?” Winking, he purposely didn’t mention being at the hotel with the youngest Harrington, knowing he wouldn’t hear the end of it from his friend.
“I am. I’m the fucking manager, head bitch in charge.” Mason laughed. “I’m only a co owner. I had to step down, ‘cause of the music biz. I got promoted. How fucking great is that? I was partying with Kanye last week.” Mason smirked, taking a swig of his beer. “Oh, fuck off. Yeah, a meeting, something us executives do. Fuck, if you won the lottery, you’d go out a buy a porsche for yourself and me.” He joked, scoffing. “Seriously, though. What the hell were you doing there?”

“Nothing, I want to hear nothing.” Her voice was a little snippier than she had intended, but something about the boy was starting to grate on her nerves. “I’m not your sweetheart.” The pet name sent a shiver down her spine, and she tried not to dwell on the person who had said it to her everyday. “Maybe I should become one of those girls so you find me less challenging and interesting then? Then maybe you’ll get out of my way.”
Mason still kept a smile on his face and shrugged. “Not my sweetheart, okay. How about my fierce warrior princess?” He chuckled. “Hmm, I like your feistiness, though. I can’t help it. Out of your way? Fine, I’ll do just that.” He said, moving away. “After you, princess.”
Blushing slightly, Layne looked down at her feet to hide it the best way she could. “Yes, I’m one of the Harrington girls. I’m Layne.” She said, bringing her head back up to him and giving him a small smile. Seeing his pack of cigarettes and lighter, she shook her head lightly. “No, thank you. I don’t smoke anymore.”
Mason smiled, nodding. “You Harringtons have got some good fucking genes, I’ll tell ya. I’ve seen your sister around here. She’s just as hot as you.” He said, biting down on his lip with a smirk. “You don’t? Aw, come on. Not even a joint? We could have some fun.”
“Goodie. My life is now complete because you like my spark, pretty boy.” Stella insisted sarcastically before rolling her eyes, throwing a smirk in his direction to signal the sarcasm if he hadn’t already caught on. “Well, Mr Manager, are you going to go ahead and let me in now, or?” Before she was able to continue on, it seemed that he had more to add to the conversation as he questioned who exactly she was meeting. Granted, it was actually a friend inside, a few of them to be exact, but not that it was much of his business, of course. “Gee, thanks. You just gave me all the warm and fuzzies by calling me pretty. And I’m actually meeting my boyfriend, so if you don’t mind.” No. She had no boyfriend, but she was unable to get a reading from the male before and tell whether or not she either enjoyed their conversation or she’d rather get out of dodge.
Mason liked her feistiness and laughed. “Sure, come on in, sweetheart. I’ll get you a drink.” He told her, ushering her over to the bar and ordering her a drink. “Your boyfriend? Aw, fuck, no. That’s quite upsetting. My heart is a bit broken now, I gotta say. Is your brother as hot as me?” He smirked, getting himself a drink and taking a sip.
An uncertain laugh escaped Amel at the guy’s words, his choice of phrasing at first making Amel think he’d done something wrong – but the guy laughed, and smiled, and invited him more than willingly into the club. Another laugh – a much more sheepish one – escaped Amel upon hearing that he ‘needed some fucking human contact’. “Do I– Do I really come across like I do?” he asked with a small smile on his lips, and glanced down at his partly unbuttoned shirt. “I was just trying to… ease the preppy look you cursed about.” Amel couldn’t really say that he did lack human contact – although having been unaware that he came off as though he does, Amel couldn’t help but be amused by it. “My name’s, ah–,” he started, though paused briefly; he never knew how to react when people told him they knew him from somewhere. ‘I’m one of them celebrities you normals are always going bananas about’? Disregarding the fact that Amel hardly thought anyone went bananas over him – nor that he in any way identified as a “celebrity” – no matter how he phrased himself, that’s how he thought he came off. He scrunched up his nose at the thought. “Amel. What’s yours? Name, I mean.” Wait. “Or that was– that was obviously what I… never mind,” he shook his head; then he shrugged, a polite smile on his lips. “You might have! I’m, ah… actually out a lot, like this. At clubs. Believe it or not!”
Mason nodded, chuckling. “Yeah, kid, you do. Whatever, just come on in.” He said, nodding. “Amel, welcome. Name’s Mason, I’m the manager. Let me know if you need anything.” He said, patting him on the back. “I saw I’ve seen you before, I fucking swear. Are you on TV?” He asked, curiously. “I could always use some celebrities in here. You are out at a lot of clubs? What kind of clubs, the Disney Mouse Club?”
Pulling the keys out of his hand, Simon felt a mild relief wash over him. The car was new and not something he could afford to throw away on some stuck up brat. “Well you made it pretty easy for me, maybe if you didn’t try to pick fights with people you wouldn’t have to deal with rants like mine. Lecturer? Are you fucking kidding me? No, I’m just trying to make you understand that your attitude is nothing but pathetic. Aw, you’re buddies with Kanye West? For some reason I have no problems picturing you two together… wonder why. I guess if that’s the best you can do”, Simon shrugged. He had already had his fair share of meetings with celebarties since he was barely old enough to walk, was he suppoosed to be impressed? They came and went from the hotel on a daily basis. The last part however made him laugh out loud, shaking his head slowly at this fool. “You actually think I was the odd one out? Cute, really cute. Far from it, but as said: I grew up. Try it.”
Mason had no interest in what Simon was saying, just put on his sunglasses and shook his head. “You go on, sweetheart. You go on and live your sad, little fucking mediocre life and call me pathetic. I’ll be sitting and tanning on my yacht with all of the Victoria Secret models on the front of their magazine. You have fun with your ugly kids and bitch wife.” He smirked, rolling his eyes. “Leave the real baller game to us real ballers.”
“Ohhh-kay, yeah, I get that. I guess I’ll feel special anyway, now that I can come inside.” It was indeed the fanciest bar he had ever seen, not to mention it probably would also be the most expensive bar he’s ever been to. “Holly, huh? I’m interested. Where can I find her?”
Mason nodded and rolled his eyes. “Oh, yeah, you’re special as fuck.” He joked, heading him in the direction of the bar. “Come on, I’ll show ya. I need a drunk anyway. Holly, sweetheart, can you hit us up with some drugs?” He asked, looking over at Jack. “This is my friend---What’s your name, dude?”
“That’s more like it. You too, man.” Vince held up a fist for Mason to fist-bump. “Going to other places since you’re making all these ridiculous new rules.” He joked.
Mason returned the fist bump and smirked, shaking his head. “Yo, I’m just following orders, man, from the big man upstairs. Reno likes this place to be in tip top fucking shape, or I lose my job and the chance to love on all of these hot cuties.” Mason said, winking over at a hot girl by the bar. “Although, dude, was it my fucking bad eyesight or real that I saw you at the Royal Hotel while I was at a meeting? Don’t tell me you’ve come into some money.”
“Of course they’re drooling, they would be blind not to— Aw, baby, you know you’re my first choice always… Those other girls got nothing on you!”
Mason rolled his eyes and sighed, taking a swig of his drunk. “I’m fucking honored to be in the presence of my burly bear.” He smirked and shook his head. “Want a refill, bro? And you gotta try these wings! They’re fucking insane! The food here is actually bangin’.”
“Come on dude, quit playing around. Why the dress code all of a sudden? You know I’m one of your top regulars here.”
“Fuck, bro, sorry! I was talking to that asshole over there. You come right in. I’ve missed you, bro! Where have you been?”
“Sure, I get bored as shit sitting at home. Nothing to do except watch porn and get fat. Yeah, how’s that going for you?” Ethan laughed and headed for the bar, “Should’ve known me ten years ago, man— Aside from Teags, not really. Told ya’, been working too hard.”
Mason shrugged. “Don’t you got a gas station or whatever?” He asked, half listening as he was eyeing one girl dancing. He looked back and smiled. “You? Fat? You fuck, look at those abs. You’re half the reason girls come here. Look at those four girls over there by the bar. They are drooling over you. I might be drooling over you with that bead and those abs. Fuck, man.”
