Forced Divinity AU that @sunnyfrenchfries came up with has me in an absolute chokehold. I’m losing my mind. I have so much art I’ve draw/am drawing for this. I’ve written several thousand words (that I have so far shared with no one) of Flambae in prison as he starts to worship Mecha Man. Idk I’m going crazy. I figure this is the cover art for the au if that is ok sunny? I would love to name it and add a title into the open space.
This is for a certain Flambae challenge coming up next week, and I'm making sure I'm present for EACH DAY. However, I like both of these expressions, and I can't decide which one I like better.
hello hi if anyone cares to know, I actually used a 3d model to help me with the general composition hehe
I tried tackling the mirror on my own but found out very quickly how difficult it was to do accurately so what I did was I modelled how I imagined the scene would look with a 3d poser.
This whole mirror portion is actually just a hole in the wall where I duplicated the poses I made onto the other side to achieve the effect a mirror would have had, cause who has the time to figure any of that out???
I purposefully used more cartoony/simplistic models so that I don't rely on the 3d models too much for the anatomy. If you're familiar with it you'd be able to tell when someone's traced over a model, (I would know cause I've done it before many many times) even though all of the anatomy is technically correct, there's still this weird "stiff" vibe that the overall pose gives off. So it's better to just work out the anatomy over the model and using it as a sort of "skeleton"
I don't think I've exactly perfected it myself yet, there's still some traces of that "stiffness" in my posing, but it definitely does help a ton!
The end product's usually never one to one with the modeled scene, if you looked closely at my finished illustration there's bound to be some inconsistencies here and there... 🤭🤭🤭
It's no big deal though since the important part is that I was able to communicate the intention and weight of the pose well enough for the viewer to get what I was going for!
