Greyson heard a crash in the cafe and the sound of panic. But when he stepped out of his office, there was nobody there, despite the sound of people. “What the hell is going on here? EJ? Qhuinn?”
“What can I say? I find my own fun, when my company becomes boring.”
He chuckled. “yes, I’ve seen how you enjoy your fun.” He winked. “There exists no prettier sight than you and Alva together. You are like two goddesses. Would you like to have a seat, love?”
He then ordered what the other vampire was telling him to, deciding to try the chocolate and the tea, and waved the girl away after he ordered. “I have been known to have a sweet tooth every now and then, myself.”
Greyson smiled at the older vampire. He respected the man’s reputation. “Good. Anything in particular bring you to Bites, Alistair?” He lifted his cup of tea to his lips and took a sip.
Greyson chuckled at the pretty girl working for Alva. “I’m sure you could help me just fine...” He gave her a grin. “I’m looking for Alva. I’m her maker, Greyson.”
“Is there something that I can do for you?” The little vampire asked softly as she finally finished putting the vinyls on the shelves. Ms Alva was pretty lax on the rules of what she does during work, but she still tried to do a decent day’s work. “I am still learning the system but I’m sure that we can find what you are looking for.”
Greyson chuckled at the pretty girl working for Alva. “I’m sure you could help me just fine...” He gave her a grin. “I’m looking for Alva. I’m her maker, Greyson.”
“I don’t know the first thing about trying to sell a house, but know I want to sell mine.”
“I have a good real estate agent,” Greyson said with a nod of his head, pulling up the number in his phone. “I can text it to you.”
Qhuinn smiled warmly at Greyson as she sat, taking a long sip of her coffee before replying. She adored her job here, and the experience and opportunity that it gave her. Maybe one day, if she and Nolan ever left London, she could open a cafe’ or bakery of her own. She blushed when he asked after Nolan, lowering her mug and looking at her boss with shining eyes. “Oh..he’s wonderful.. We’re having the best time, it’s just like one big slumber party” she laughed.
“Good,” Greyson said with a smile nodded his head at Qhuinn. “You will tell me if you have issues with him, little wolf.” There was no room for argument with his words. Qhuinn was one of his employees and he took care of what was his.

“You wouldn’t understand. I’ll take coffee though.” He nodded. “That’s for the best. Just text me when you want to come by and get it and I’ll make sure that I go by and am there when you come get it. I don’t stay there, really. The sooner all that happens, the better.”
Greyson shrugged his shoulders at Jaxson’s protest that he wouldn’t understand. “Anytime you wish to have a coffee or anything to eat, feel free to stop by Bites.” Greyson was surprised to find out that Jaxson was not staying at his home any longer. “Alright, thank you. I will text you. And I’m sorry I was a hot-tempered jerk in the past. I’m sure this is difficult for you in ways I’ll never be able to understand.”
Kissing him softly, she giggled when he passed the cookies so that she could take a bite. “Mmm.” She moaned softly as the cookie melted in her mouth. Alva tilted her head at her love then whispered softly to him. “Greyson? Why…why have we never Blood Bonded?”
Greyson was surprised by Alva’s sudden question. “Why are you asking this?” But she deserved an answer to her question. So he thought a moment and answered. “Well, I didn’t feel we needed to. I’ve sired you. There’s an unbreakable connection there. And I wanted you to have some freedom from me. Perhaps in case you found another you wanted to bond with.”
Qhuinn bit hr lip, looking around the cafe’. It was rare slow moment, and her sore feet screamed at her to take advantage of it. Plus, she rarely got much of an opportunity to talk to her boss. “I’d like that, thank you Greyson. Let me grab a cup of coffee and a scone and I’ll be right back” After pouring a steaming cup and her favorite lemon blueberry scone, she rejoined the vampire. “How have you been?”
Greyson was happy that Qhuinn was taking a seat to join him. Bites had been so busy lately. He loved his little cafe. And he knew that while EJ was still in the cells, Qhuinn had been claimed by a werewolf. He was happy she continued to come to work. Bites wouldn’t be the same without her. “I’m doing well, thank you for asking,” Greyson said politely. “How have you been getting along with your new Alpha?”
