The EAD Joint Venture announced today that RBC Dominion Securities (RBC DS) will become a major tenant of Edmonton Tower. RBC DS, a part of RBC Wealth Management Canada, is scheduled to occupy two floors of the 27 storey tower in 2018.

Last week construction crews performing soil remediation in the old parking lot unearthed old building foundations. This led us to an examination of a collection of historical aerial photographs of downtown Edmonton, which revealed two mysterious buildings that once sat atop what would later become NorQuest College’s downtown parking lot.

The owner of the Hat Resto Pub in Edmonton says that he discovered a tunnel in the building's basement. The pub was constructed in 1908, and it first opened its doors under the name the Golden Spike in 1912, making it one of the oldest eateries in the city.
