I LOVE LIBRARIES!!

My library does “stuffed animal sleepovers” where kids leave their stuffed animals at the library overnight. Then the staff lets teenagers in after-hours to arrange the stuffed animals into fun scenes and take a bunch of pictures for the library’s social media. And then the little kids come back the next day and get to see all the pictures of their stuffed animals reading, playing games, riding around the library on book carts, etc 🥹

As a person who lives in a place where a lot of things are filmed, I am begging y'all do be fucking normal about actors/celebrities/tv and film productions.

Actors are at work when they're on set. Actors are off the clock if you see them having dinner/out and about. Leave them alone unless it's an officially sanctioned event! Don't broadcast where they are. Don't be creepy and take photos without their knowledge.

Be fucking normal about it. If an actor is in town for 3 months to film they're going to be spotted around town. You can either make their experience pleasant and let them just live their lives or make it so they don't want to spent time enjoying the place they're living.

How would you feel is someone waited outside of your job just to scream at you and take pictures of you when you got off your shift? How would you feel it people tried to find out where you were staying? How would like it if people kept asking you about your job while you were out to lunch on your one day off that week.

I've seen "fuck the beauty industrial complex" posts about complicated skincare regimens and am 100% with them except sometimes they mention sunscreen and no. no. absolutely not. sunscreen is a wonderful supportive friend who wants to keep you safe, and you should let her do it. throw out all your other cosmetics and skincare products if you want, but keep your sunscreen. and if you're not wearing sunscreen, start wearing it!!!! this is not about terror of aging, this is not about every tiny imperfection our fucked-up culture has made you feel insecure about, this is about protecting yourself from skin cancer. wear the damn sunscreen.
